This popular "news" account (person? team? bot?) should change it's name to "X's stupidest takes". They think what's going on in Hormuz is wonderful. So many popular accounts on X love anarchy for the clicks.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker โ€” preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.

The Board of Peaceโ€™s policy as it relates to UNRWAโ€™s involvement in Gaza is unchanged. We will only work with trusted partners who will deliver for the people of Gaza and contribute to a deradicalized Strip. UNRWA fails on those litmus tests. Our approach is the right one to reduce perpetual dependency and lead Gaza towards a self sustained, thriving economy that delivers opportunity and better conditions for Palestinians. apnews.com/article/lazzariniโ€ฆ

MBS turning out to be a major disappointment
๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Saudi Arabia spends 24/7 begging Israel for help with the Houthis, only to have their delegation walk out during Netanyahuโ€™s UN speech.

It's fantastic that Netanyahu called out Qatar at the UN. But Israeli needs a leader who can anticipate and speak out (and confront) these hard foreign policy problems *before* they become catastrophic, not after.
Qatar spent billions to teach Western kids to hate Israel and America. Netanyahu said it at the UN. For decades Qatar funded American universities and outlets like Al Jazeera. They did the same in Europe. The goal was simple. Brainwash young minds against Israel, America, and the West. This is the same Qatar that hosts the Hamas chiefs who planned October 7. Turkey is the latest super spreader of the same lies. Erdogan is a tyrant. He hosts Hamas terror chiefs. He murdered thousands of Kurdish civilians. He denies the Armenian genocide. He jails journalists and opposition leaders. He occupies northern Cyprus and threatens Greece. He calls for Israelโ€™s destruction almost every day and says he will rule Jerusalem. Antisemitism never disappeared and it will not disappear. But Israel will always remain. It always was and always will be. Their lies will not help them.

Mayor Mamdani, you said war criminals who set foot in New York should be arrested. Good news. One is in New York city this week. The president of the Islamic Republic is coming to the United Nations, right here in New York. He heads the regime that massacre innocent protesters. They gunned down unarmed protesters in the streets, hanged our children, and sent its agents to Brooklyn to kidnap and kill a New Yorker. That New Yorker is me. The FBI files and federal indictments are public. Look them up. If you have the courage to talk about arresting those responsible for crimes against humanity, start with the man sleeping five miles from your office. Are you willing to act, Mayor? Or do Iranian lives not count?

This is a fantastic episode! Buying @cursor_ai was one of the best business decisions in the AI world. You really have to give props to @elonmusk and @spacexai on this one.
Grok @Bot is the hottest new AI product in the world right now. I'm absolutely hooked. It all started a few months ago as a tiny team holed up in a separate part of the office, building from scratch. Four weeks after the first line of code, the whole company was obsessed. Three weeks later, it launched to the world. Less than a month in, millions of Grok Bots are already helping people get work done. Roman Ugarte (@romanugarte_) incubated, launched, and now leads product for Grok Bot. This is the first time he's told the story: ๐Ÿ”ธ Why they started fresh instead of building it into Cursor ๐Ÿ”ธ The two non-obvious bets that made it such a success ๐Ÿ”ธ What they learned from manually onboarding the first 200โ€“300 users ๐Ÿ”ธ Why they spent the weeks before launch *unshipping* features ๐Ÿ”ธ The first prompt to try when you open it Watch the full episode right here on X ๐Ÿ‘‡

AI seems to be doing a better job of precipitating a long overdue destabilization of some of the most self-defeating academic norms (publishing secrecy, unilateral credit, prestige proxies, closed participation, zero-sum mindset etc) than many reform efforts ever did. While thatโ€™s a good thing, if youโ€™ve ever seen first hand the abhorrent behavior, sheer pettiness, and weaponized victimhood sparked by even tiny individual efforts to operate outside those norms, youโ€™ll know that shit is about to get very very weird.

if @Google doesn't improve their voice-driven Gemini assistant on Android rather quickly, the iPhone is going to eat their lunch. I'm considering switching back to iPhone for the first time in 10 years.
