We often don’t bring this up when speaking about abortion and pregnancy. A woman is most likely to be murdered during pregnancy than any other time in their life.

I made this document b/c I know my friends + loved ones in the repro movement don't have the capacity to answer all questions, or tell folks where to go + what to do. I made this so you can turn your anger into action. We all can do something, here's how: docs.google.com/document/d/1…

On this #TransDayOfVisibilty, I look forward to a day when all can be safe sharing their true selves with the world. I love the joy I see in my trans friends who are able to express their whole being authentically, and I hope we create a world in which all can feel that joy 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Refusing to support kids when they tell you they're transgender does reduce the chance they'll grow up to be trans but only by reducing the chance they'll grow up

Passing new laws is not a solution to the reality that police keep breaking existing laws, engaging in cover ups with the assistance of municipal governments & then receiving increased funding & support from the federal government. This is an issue of state-sponsored violence.

Reminder that MLK was assassinated in the middle of a campaign for sanitation workers in Memphis, TN
The omicron variant is sickening so many sanitation workers around the U.S. that some cities have had to delay or suspend garbage and recycling pickup, angering residents shocked that governments can’t perform this most basic of functions. apne.ws/lAHSVqs

Just had a call with someone on Forbes 30 under 30 list and came away really impressed. He shared with me how he made VP at a top tech company before age 30: 1. 4:30 AM wakeup 2. Cold showers 3. Gratitude journal 4. Meditate 5. Dad owns tech company

I hope this email never finds you. I hope you are hidden. Hidden in rest and relaxation. I hope your Outlook crashes and that you just spend the rest of the day outside. I hope you don’t think about emails while you’re there. I hope you are free.

if the “boss makes a dollar, i make a dime” line was real amazon workers would all have 19 billion dollars. if the “boss makes a thousand and gives me a cent” line was real, amazon workers would all have over 100 million dollars

At 4 weeks postpartum I was: sleeping 3 *nonconsecutive* hours a night; breastfeeding every 2 hours for at least 30 min a session, so about 6 hours a day; and bleeding through everything I wore. If men did this, the whole fucking world would be structured around parental leave.

can’t even imagine editing this way—the job isn’t just having the insights, it’s delivering them in a way someone can actually use. giving feedback like this doesn’t make you more direct or honest, just bad at your job
Replying to @DevinMadson
It actually started out ok but got increasingly hateful as it went. I was the frog in the boiling water analogy

We let the right control framing. It’s exhausting. When the right talks about abortion, we meet them halfway every single time we talk about abortion as a universally scary, difficult, agonizing decision. We do their work for them. Stop that.
