I miss Joe Buck calling baseball.
The greatest calls of @Buck career came in Game 6, 2011
- “Freese has tied it, 7-7… unbelievable”
- “They just won’t go away”
- “We will see you, tomorrow night”

#OTD 2011 - In Game 6 of the World Series played at Busch Stadium, a Cardinals baseball legend was born!
David Freese has one of the greatest clutch performances, in one of the craziest games in the history of the World Series.
The back-and-forth game saw the Cardinals come back from a two-run deficit in the bottom of the 9th inning and again in the 10th inning - They were down to their last strike in both the 9th and 10th inning
David Freese (with the Cardinals down to their final strike) smacks an opposite-field two run triple in the bottom of the 9th inning to tie the game to send it into extra innings.
In the top of the 10th inning, Josh Hamilton hits a two-run home runs, seemingly giving the Rangers their first World Series Championship - but...
Now trailing 9-7 as they head into the bottom of the 10th inning, the Cardinals still had plenty of fight in them.
Ryan Theriot's single scores Daniel Descalso to bring the Cardinals within one.
Lance Berkman (with the Cardinals down to their final strike once again) slashes a single to right-center field to tie the game at 9 and send the game into the 11th inning.
🎙️ "They just, won't, go, away." - Joe Buck
Starting pitcher Jake Westbrook comes in to pitch the 11th inning, and holds the Rangers to just a single, to set the stage for Cardinals magic.
The first batter of the inning is ... David Freese.
Freese wins the game in dramatic fashion, with a walk-off home run to the grass in center field to send Busch Stadium into a frenzy, and the Cardinals into game 7.
🎙️ “Freese hits it in the air to center. We will see you, tomorrow night” - Joe Buck

“He’s coming to a team with some awesome veteran guys,” Carlos Boozer said. “How else can he affect the game than just put the ball in the basket? That’s what you should be looking at because you want him to be an all-around, not just a one-sided star.”

Really impressive student section today. Post Covid it just hasn’t been as good. #soft Today was solid. I’m optimistic for this current generation.

Bill Self said that the reason Christian Reeves and Paul Mbiya didn’t play much were because they weren’t able to guard the ball screens. He also mentioned how it wasn’t their fault, but they needed to switch things up. #kubball

Replying to @bewarephog
Chiefs don’t win exhibition games, and things seem to work out for them.
