Does anyone want to bet a million dollars against my claim that Abdul does better with Black voters than Mike Rogers does?
National pundits are openly questioning whether Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign has done enough to win over Black voters, despite polling showing he’s up big among the demographic. These voters aren't buying the narrative El-Sayed will struggle in Detroit. michiganchronicle.com/despit…

I told you Piker and Cenk are net negatives for the campaign. Cenk has been trying to make this ad and put it in front of a statewide or national audience for years. Abdul couldn't have stopped this if he wanted to. And, I know his staff is unhappy about it.
El-Sayed campaign statement: "This ad is not affiliated in any way with the Abdul for Senate campaign. Abdul is focused on pushing back against Trump’s agenda that is raising prices for Michiganders. No one speaks for Abdul but himself and his campaign." #MISEN

The Rogers-Trump agenda:
Trump's pardons have erased over $119 million in unpaid restitution to crime and fraud victims.

Watch trends, not single polls. One consistency across all polls since August 19: @AbdulElSayed has led in every single solitary goddam one of them.
Two new Michigan polls One has El-Sayed slightly ahead, much smaller margin than Benson in gov’s race One has El-Sayed more substantially ahead, nearly same margin as Benson Good reminder not to get worked up over any one poll (Writing this partly to remind myself!)

I don't get paid to tweet, that's the last refuge of the idiots who have no argument. Don't be one of those people. You used to make fun of them.

You realize I was making the 2006 comparison almost 2 years ago now, right? That doesn't change the fact that picking that year poisons your data presentation intentionally.

This is top of the ballot data, because consistency is important when we're doing this type of work.

The reason you started in 2006 was Data manipulation to pretend your argument had any weight to it. I don't feel embarrassed. I'm not the one trying to manipulate data by cherry picking a start year. Here are the four cycles prior:

"hi, yes, I would like to LARP as a fake elections expert on Twitter without getting any criticism for it, I am not a crackpot." Look, you made crap up that was easily disprovable. That's not my fault.

What are we doing? I mean the base data. What are we doing? House elections? So counties with multiple candidates get aggravated together and the result is supposedly independent of both of their candidacies? Use SOS or Board of Ed data if you're not using the top of the ballot. And talking about the shift in the upper peninsula from the '90s without bringing up abortion is political malpractice. We went hard for reproductive freedom which was the vector for the conservatives to consolidate religious moderates into a coalition that already almost fully contained small business people. That doesn't make Rahm Emmanuel better, but what you said above here dana, is slop.

My take: Of ~240k Detroit votes in 2024, Trump got about 20k and Rogers about 18k. Doubling Rogers’ city total still wouldn’t offset the hole Trump created for Rogers in the suburbs and outstate. Michigan Republicans are focusing on Detroit so they can blame vote counting in Detroit when they lose.
