It ain’t much, but it’s honest work
“Elon, God of Memes,” minted March 7, 2021, is the first work of mine on-chain. I transferred it to a wallet I thought to be Elon's at the time (turns out it wasn't) and the work was later secured by @bfield317 in December, 2021. He kept it safe for almost two years, for which I’m grateful!
I used this "preACK" wallet to experiment with minting back when I was first learning about NFT technology in March and April of 2021. At that time, I hadn’t yet developed the signature styles I work in today but I’m glad this piece in particular was my first 1 of 1.
Meme culture — even if it’s sublimated or less explicit —remains an important undercurrent in my work, and a critical source of inspiration for most practicing digital artists.
Now, “Elon” belongs to @artthatfucks and i'm honored it will sit alongside 5 Broken Keys and many other great works in his collection!
