To say Andrew Fischer isn’t a Top 100 prospect is baffling. Scouting 101: a grade is a living report, not a concrete pour. You don’t lock in on a MiLB strikeout rate, defend it, and refuse to move when the information changes. The information did change. 50 HRs, counting the 2 in the postseason. 48 in the regular season, the most in the minors since 1982. Baseball America’s Minor League Player of the Year. MLB Pipeline’s Hitting Prospect of the Year. A .273/.413/.654 line from High-A to Double-A in his first full year. Yes, he struck out in 33% of his plate appearances. He also walked 102 times. If a K out rate ends the conversation, Joey Gallo shouldn’t have been a Top 100 prospect. Neither should Kyle Schwarber, or Adam Dunn. That’s the update. Power showed up in games, the walk rate traveled, and the Brewers took him 20th overall in 2025. This is the same org that keeps cashing first-round picks and sitting at the top of the sport. You’re not smarter than they are. Regrade the player.
