Tonight we will be lighting the Library of Birmingham green and white to mark Remembering Srebrenica 2026.
In July 1995, inside a United Nations declared safe area, thousands of Bosnian men and boys were murdered and buried in mass graves - after being selected because of their identity. The Library is being lit in remembrance of the victims of the genocide in Bosnia.

On the 22nd February, RMC brought the community together at the Old Library in Digbeth to mark three years since the war in Ukraine began.

Earlier this week I was in Birmingham to hear how @bhuknetwork supports Bosnian refugees. The Srebrenica genocide was one of the worst atrocities on European soil since the Second World War and must never be forgotten, which is why I am proud to support the work of @SrebrenicaUK.
