love this writing ; but imo improving efficency doesn't automatically mean stocks go down , consider inference becomes 5 times cheaper while ai consumption goes up 10 times ; inference spending doubles here. cheaper ai -> expand the market. Ai will continue to be counter consensus as per the bubble callers / continue to expand, while stocks remain overvalued, there is no issue in that. commoditization only redistributes the economic value (versus killing it).
as a counter to anthropic s1 glaze majority of q2 was the height of tokenmaxxing where companies were spending as much money as possible on credits it wasn’t until july where the idea of managing ai spend started to get traction also q2 was peak Opus 4.7 & Mythos/Fable season hype vs GPT-5.5, and Codex didn’t really take over until 5.6 during the summer i love anthropic’s products though and probably will slam the ipo because it’s first pure play ai lab but the belief that the headwinds for the ai trade have disappeared because of this document is not accurate >models have never been more commoditized than they are right now i used to be able to tell the difference between model outputs, now it’s almost impossible the more they get commoditized, the more the margins compress. this was not clear in q2. it is now. >still no clear proof of how ai drives more profit to most businesses most of anthropic’s biggest customers are publicly traded companies & they will be incentivized to decrease their own Claude spend to improve their own margins >capex commitments already signed until 2034 every hyperscaler & lab has been racing to sign deals spanning the next decade. this is all priced in already. this means the labs/mag7 basically either find ways to make existing chips more efficient (deepseek deepinfer type stuff) or they dilute shares to spend more on capex. either way stocks go down in both those scenarios — i am an ai bull but i believe the winners have still not been decided i think muse is great but does anyone know if it can drive hundreds of billions of dollars in value to Meta? well that’s what’s priced in and that’s what it would take for the investment to be worthwhile. — of course a lot can change but it feels like the real ai trade will take place after this current one settles down the real one will take time, just don’t see how it’s going to be this business cycle

The 0.5.0 release of fungi just went out. It includes: Prints (making your anime) - Each model's real prompt limit is shown, and Generate turns off when you're over it. - Saved styles (like your golden prompt) are added to every generation. - Several reference images per model, up to that model's limit. - Saved Characters: type @name to add one to your prompt. - Open any print to see how it was made, then Reuse, Remix or Animate it. - Widescreen sizes: 16:9 and 21:9. - For video: pick a first frame and a last frame, plus audio where the model supports it. - The simpler composer you approved. TUI - Every pop-up window has been redesigned. - A new approval card with "Deny and say why". Fixes - Goals no longer stall while sub-agents work. - Upgrades just work. The first run after an upgrade stops the old service, sets aside data the new version can't read, and tells you what changed. - Grove now says "model didn't respond" and offers Retry. Oyster - The AI Gateway needs no setup. - Flux 2 images and image-to-video now work through it. - Security fix: keys you gave to other people could read and prompt your agents (versions 0.3.2 to 0.4.1, only if you'd made such keys). Two changelog warnings for users - Keys given to other people now need permission for each agent. - Prints images made before 0.5.0 lose their Image info.

Watch what $shiit does
i think a lot of people are overlooking the opportunity in crypto AI as ive argued before, scarcity is migrating upward through the ai stack the cheaper and more interchangeable intelligence becomes, the more value shifts toward the infrastructure that makes it useful, reliable and economically accountable the interesting part is that many of these emerging bottlenecks arent computational problems - theyre problems of incentives, coordination, verification and trust and these are areas where crypto has genuine structural advantages permissionless markets for allocating resources, economic incentives for producing useful information, collateral for enforcing accountability and verifiable records of performance the opportunity isnt putting AI onchain for the sake of it its using crypto to create markets around forms of value that were previously difficult to measure, price or exchange the irony is that the commoditisation of ai models could be one of the strongest tailwinds for the right crypto infrastructure intelligence becomes abundant, but the ability to establish what its worth, whether its reliable and who deserves to be paid for it becomes increasingly valuable

See how it feels like “it's so over”? Like, it genuinely feels that way, right? It might get even worse. That's it. BUT I want you to remember this feeling this time. And to never forget it, when things switch. Build character. I am insanely bullish.

They will make you think it’s over 10 times before everything rips. All you have to do is place your bids where you think something will catch up in value and attention. Simple as that.

patience is a virtue for a reason. It is not easy to exercise, especially when the outcome is uncertain and your conviction is tested. yet its fruits are all the sweeter.

Thanks to @nullresearchart for testing oyster. I just released 0.4.1 after his feedback - Oyster installs cleanly: all starter Apps, every time - Approvals default to "Approve once", and "Always allow" now remembers your choice - Clear next steps when no model is set up.

I don't want to share any more bullish insights I've uncovered regarding @liltechnomancer Simply because most people don't deserve to be spoon-fed free alpha. Conviction isn't something you can borrow from someone else. You have to do your own research, connect the dots, and understand what you're buying.
