He is currently hospitalized and in stable condition, though he has sustained severe, life-threatening injuries. My wife scans her Costco membership at self-checkout. I pay the $275 grocery bill with our joint credit card. An employee rushes over. “Sorry, the name on the card has to match the membership.” I tell her, “We’re on the same household account. It’s literally our joint bank account.” She checks her screen, sighs, and says, “I’ll let it slide this time.” LET IT SLIDE?! I’m paying an annual membership fee just to spend hundreds of dollars in your store, and now I need special permission to use my own money? Since when did buying groceries become a security clearance process? 😭

Her Social Security is only $12,704 a year. Her taxes cost more than her entire income. She owns her home free and clear, and she still can't afford to live in it. Some people say she should downsize and sell. Others say a woman who worked and paid in her whole life shouldn't be taxed out of her own home at 94.
