The founder of the wearable device Temple, Mr. Deepinder Goyal (who has blocked me on Twitter) has now put out an official statement regarding concerns raised by the medical community on the said device being a scam.
As expected, he has written a word salad. This man has provided no real evidence or proof that his device, which he is selling for INR 85,000/- can measure and interpret brain flow from a superficial artery (superficial temporal artery - which is an extracranial artery - meaning a blood vessel placed entirely outside the skull, supplying blood to the side of the face, temple, and scalp regions).
His own Science Lead (Avi Roy) has accepted that the fact that their device is not yet proven to measure brain flow or "entropy" as they claim on their website and additionally, has directly addressed concerns of poor methodology as well as statisitical misrepresentation, without respond to clear evidence of data falsification in their pre-print papers.
Other wearables like Whoop (which he cited) measured and validated exactly what the wearable can measure within limits of human anatomy and physiology. Temple is overdoing it and defrauding its potential customers. The device can only measure blood flow and flushing to the face in humans and has ansolutely NOTHING to do with the brain as they claim. This is the issue, not what can happen in the future. The device itself fails its primary objective.
There is no our science and your science. But there is bad science, fringe science and science fraud and Team Temple, embraced all of these.
Temple device is a scam. There is no doubt about it. The question is however, how long can this man and his team keep defrauding people under the garb of "we are spending millions for you" or "we are trying our best" or "we are taking the risk" kind of responses?
These farts in the windtunnel responses are not what is expected from a company who's website claims "solid science". There is solid fraud though - pathetic little businessmen.

Brilliant from @sajithkumar
Zomato @deepigoyal new digital age toy stuck to the temple to monitor blood flow to the brain serves no purpose than to make people paranoid and hypochondriacs @LiverDoc @drshamamohd . Goyal himself will become richer.

In their first 15 tests as captain:
Graeme Smith lost 4 tests.
Steve Smith lost 4 tests.
Steve Waugh lost 3 tests.
Sir Don Bradman lost 3 tests.
Virat Kohli lost 2 tests.
Temba Bavuna has just lost 1 test, and won 13 of the 15 tests, where he has been captain. For any captain, in test cricket who has led his side for a minimum of 15 tests, that is the best Win-Loss Ratio.
Like the WB govt which has given Salt Lake stadium for free to East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, Kerala shd also give Kochi stadium free to @KeralaBlasters . What has @vdsatheesan or Kerala govt done for sports so far?

Insane. Good of @neha_aisa and other student leaders to refuse signing such an undemocratic measure.

Delighted to be part of the launch of All In A Flash, a tribute to Indiaโs extraordinary news photographers over the last century. Sadly, our newspapers and magazines are losing the art of showcasing iconic news photographs. In the age of mobile phones and AI, the power of an authentic, professionally shot image to capture a momentโand become part of a nationโs historyโis more vital than ever.
Well done, @binoojohn, for putting together this wonderful book! ๐
you will never find a traffic cop in choke points in the city. what traffic management is this? @dtptraffic I was caught in vausundhaar for one hour this morning. not a single cop in sight. well done.
When NH 8 from Gurugram to Delhi is packed and traffic is not moving itโs crawling, maybe someone in the traffic police in @dtptraffic should have stopped trucks and goods vehicles on the border. The city is choked and polluted. @LtGovDelhi @gupta_rekha at least, monitor things. Pollution control is not a half page ad in a newspaper. A choked highway and its afternoon only. Governance is maybe at its lowest. So many years and nothing to show. Ambulance is just ahead of me on the highway, not able to even move. Trucks and trucks. Even an ambulance cannot move in this traffic. There has to be some level of performance in your work.
Extreme heat affects everyone who is dehydrated and undernourished. not just Chennai women, In any case TN has the most well managed medical care system in India with 36 govt medical colleges, over 2000 primary and taluka health centre. TN also produces most medical graduates every year. subject of article is complelty misplaced
Women from poor households are the most severely affected by extreme heat, due to inadequate housing, limited access to cooling solutions, poorly protected work environments, and nutritional deprivation.

The judicial custody of #AshutoshRanka and #SauravDas must be urgently reviewed and they must be released immediately.
Hoisting the National Flag, even in a prohibited area, should not warrant such prolonged detention. The judiciary and the executive must rise to the occasion to ensure that the youth of this country do not lose faith in the rule of law and constitutional rights.
Saudi should be boycotted by all nations and MBS banned from traveling. Bangladesh cannot even protest.
