Data centres in Malaysia could emit nearly 44 million tonnes of greenhouse gases annually, about one-fifth of the country’s 2024 emissions, RimbaWatch said.
The estimate was based on 51 facilities, but actual emissions could be higher as some figures excluded cooling and other energy use.

Tuju now redirects Android users to Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation instead of providing directions within the app, reports SoyaCincau.

Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur hari ini mengeluarkan perintah injunksi menghalang Bloomberg News daripada menerbitkan atau menyebarkan kenyataan yang didakwa memfitnah ahli perniagaan, Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.
Peguam Farhash berkata tindakan undang-undang diambil susulan rancangan Bloomberg menerbitkan artikel yang didakwa mengandungi dakwaan tidak benar terhadap anak guamnya, manakala pihaknya akan menyerahkan perkara itu kepada proses mahkamah.

Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, a newly-minted corporate player after he relinquished his job as PM Anwar's political secretary, has obtained a High Court injunction restraining Bloomberg News and its subsidiary from publishing a story yet to be released.
November 2: Judicial commissioner Kan Weng Hin granted the injunction today following legal proceedings initiated by Farhash over an article the news organisation intended to publish.
In a statement today, his lawyers from Messrs Ahmad Deniel, Ruben & Co said the proposed article contained statements and allegations which their client maintained were false, baseless and defamatory.
They said Farhash had received communications from Bloomberg News or its representatives indicating their intention to publish the article before legal proceedings were initiated.
The lawyers, however, did not disclose the nature of the allegations contained in the proposed article.

But, in all fairness, Farhash can always sue Bloomberg AFTER the article has seen the light of the day.
Malaysia's judicial system had upheld that principle for donkey years .
