I'm still not over the BTCPay Server hacks from August. And I don't think I ever will be.
Nine years of coding, building community and creating value with others, only for a lot of that value to be stolen by thieves and AI hackers.
When I look back, the only thing I feel good about is how fast our community reacted, and how many more people were saved from catastrophic losses.
As a FOSS project, we responded better than governments, big corporations and most for-profit companies did. Everyone who contributed should feel proud of the part they played in the response.
What remains is the realization that we are in a new era. The people who robbed us only managed it because they got access to frontier AI models faster than we did. AI has fundamentally changed software development.
So our job now is to build better ways for humans to work with AI while it writes the code.
Developers were already being tortured. The boss wants it yesterday. Sales sold it last week. Product changed it this morning. Everyone in the company wants it faster, and the end users want it perfect. Your backlog has a backlog.
Now add attackers running frontier models that read your entire codebase overnight. It's literally impossible to keep up.
If you're still coding by hand, you're bringing a keyboard to a drone fight. You will not make it.
In this brave new world it's all about having AI running your development and defense, ensuring it's as close to frontier as possible.
And that you are connected with other humans who share your morals. Those who will not only refuse to steal from others, but actively fight thiefs, sharing lessons they learned.
A world where those who create value get to keep it. That's the only world I want to live in.
Thank you @MrHodl for submitting the first outside review of @faraday_offline. Make offline computers great again! nitter.gq/faraday_offline/status…
Good news, Faraday has just responded to its first outside audit! Read about it here: faradayoffline.app/blog/fara…
Honestly, I don't think you've ever seen anything like it before. Stateless signers are being taken to the next level!
I am building faradayoffline.app Still in pre-release. But do check out the website. I believe this is a perfectly valid approach to adding a "vendor" to a multi vendor multi sig. And it's free! Pi available too. There's a lot to discuss here, and I'm ready for it!
Is there any way to block these awful 2-4 minute ai slop videos from my feed? I'm muting every account.
I support all the sides of the current arguments about Bitcoin. They're all correct! (Except the dumb crypto peoples' takes ofc)
I will only believe it's really you if you go on @Breedlove22 pod and confess your Bitcoin maximalism.

Would you rather fund k-12 bitcoin education next year or pay more in taxes?
We already have over $30,000 pledged towards this historic cause!
The scholarship fund goes live in 6 months on January 3, 2027.
Make your pledge today! bitcoinscholars.org/
I'll say it simply: a lot of the freshman Bitcoin class are going through the same thing every earlier class did as well.
The US is going to split the SOH Bitcoin fees with Iran. Amazing!
BREAKING: Iran is demanding $1 per barrel of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz, payable in cryptocurrency, per FT.
At pre-war Hormuz traffic of roughly 20 million barrels per day, the per-barrel fee would generate approximately $7.3 billion annually for Iran, collected outside the US dollar banking system.
The per-barrel fee may apply alongside the previously reported $2 million per-ship transit fee, which would push combined annual revenue to roughly $50 billion at pre-war volumes.

Keep screeching 'spam lover' at anyone not joining your BIP-110 UASF LARP. Newsflash: I hate spam, always have, check my bio dipshit. But I also hate authoritarian soft forks that pretend to 'fix' the unstoppable by adding consensus rules nobody asked for.
Parasite rewards real block finders and spreads hash power to plebs instead of letting pools centralize it further. You simps beg Core/Knots for filters while I support market-driven Bitcoin that stays permissionless. Real maxis mine and accept fees regulate junk, you just virtue-signal on dead proposals. Cry harder. 🤡
I hereby declare every transaction I don't like is spam! BLOCK THE SPAM. SUPPORT ADDRESS BLACKLISTS!!
All pro-110 user transactions are spam. I am hereby proposing BIP-011 which will blacklist all 110 supporter utxos at protocol level! We need to stop the spam!!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter!
The time for OG plebs to speak up! Anyone interested can check out the article linked in my profile 🙂 DMs open as well!

Followed back, and I agree, I decided a couple weeks ago that I was no longer going to be silent on the topic.
I don't like spam either, but permissionless is permissionless.
