"Build more supply!" He said while thousands of luxury units sit empty.

Canadian Politeness is comparable to Southern Hospitality. 'Bless their heart' and 'Sorry eh' can be equally sincere or could also be a total read.

People have lost the ability to self govern. Case and point - right hand turns. Cars are allowed to yield on a right, not just turn without slowing down. I have had to JUMP out of the way crossing the street because a car turns right on a red as if they have the right of way.

It's gotten to the point that the law should be changed so that right hand turns aren't allowed at all during the pedestrian walk signal anymore. This is why we can't have nice things.

English is very vague. Consider the construction: you -> us In English, 'you' can be singular or plural. 'Us' can be inclusive of the second person or exclusive. In Mohawk (Kanien'kéha), and many other Indigenous languages, those are all differentiated...

Kanien'kéha also uses a system of relational pronouns. That means that verbs are conjugated based on not only the subject, but also the object of the clause. This is because the culture centers our relationships to everything. #AllMyRelations

Many of our people are celebrating about the violence being unleashed in the Middle East right now. I have NEVER once witnessed our people advocate for violence on any Indigenous frontlines I’ve covered. This is not our way. Praying 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Notwithstanding clause is becoming the Canadian equivalent of the American filibuster. The filibuster was used by the South to reinforce racist policy. Now Canadian Conservatives are using our homemade loophole to promote hate against marginalized kids. cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatche…

Replying to @TheBibites
@TheBibites after watching through your videos, I wonder if you might be introducing predation a little too late in the evolutionary process. Adding plant evolution will help as photosynthesizing bibites that grow based on light or other autotrophic sources.

Phototrophs could 'eat' light and lithotrophs could eat stone. Then herbivores would need to evolve as predators or autotrophs. And carnivores would be predators of herbivores.

That might allow for exploration of cooperative colonies and eventual multicellular organisms

Someone needs to explain to me how defunding the state so that developers pocket even more money is going to fix the housing crisis.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, until you are a landlord and all the sudden public infrastructure becomes a selling point of your property. Nearby schools? Raise the price. Public transportation? Raise the price.

My American husband has never heard of Reboot! Were children in the US really denied that glorious part of my childhood? Why was YTV so good?

Being a vocal tenant advocate usually comes with backlash. Landlords will use public statements to refuse new tenants. Tenants could face eviction at anytime and can't predict when they will be back in the market for a new place to live. cbc.ca/news/canada/canada-ho…

Homes before profits. Unless tenants can actually bargain for lower rent, there is no mechanism in the market to prevent prices from increasing. The market has flattened, no landlord will lower prices to compete for demand. It is a cartel. cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scot…
