It was a real honor and pleasure to join David and Cory on Game Day Grace to talk some faith and sports. Two very sharp and focused young men. Thanks for the invite and thanks for letting me share my faith in Christ.

Today was a very special day as we visited the Billy Graham Training Center! Rev. Graham holds a special place in my heart as I watched him often on television when I was young. I had tears in my eyes as I walked through the chapel. Graham was a true servant!

In 1997 I had the privilege of watching 21 year old Warrick become NFL Rookie of the Year while directing 3 of his siblings through high school. Then donate his first home to a single mom. Just an amazing man.
Warrick Dunn’s mother, Baton Rouge police Cpl. Betty Smothers, was shot and killed in January 1993 while working an off-duty security job. Dunn was 18 and a high-school senior. As the oldest of six, he helped raise his five younger siblings. He went on to play running back at Florida State and in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons. He later started the Homes for the Holidays program through his charity. It provides down-payment help, furnishings, and support so single-parent families can become homeowners. The old “145 homes” number is outdated. The program has now helped more than 250 families. He turned his pain into purpose.❤️🙏🌹

One of the best leadership questions you can ask yourself is whether you are investing more in how you look... or in who you're becoming? Perception may get you noticed. Character is what people come to trust.

He's not wrong!! 💯
The world notices titles, brands, and appearances. Character notices integrity, humility, and faithfulness. Style may impress for a moment. Substance earns trust for a lifetime. #uncommon

Happy Father’s Day! I thank God for my father @BillyGraham and the example he set. He once said, “I am convinced that the greatest act of love we can ever perform for people is to tell them about God’s love for them in Christ.” There’s nothing more important that we can teach our children.

Your reputation is what other people think about you. Your integrity is what you know to be true about yourself. One is outside your control. The other is entirely your responsibility. Protect your integrity first. The reputation usually follows. #Leadership #Integrity #uncommon

Integrity isn't what you do when everyone is watching. It's what you do when no one is. Character is built in the small choices—the shortcuts you refuse to take, the promises you keep, and the truth you tell when a lie would be easier. #Leadership #Character

Position gives you authority. Character gives you credibility. But investing in others gives you influence. The leaders people remember most aren't always the most talented—they're the ones who helped others become more than they thought possible. #Leadership #MentorLeader

A mentor leader doesn't measure success by how many people follow them. They measure success by how many people grow because of them. The goal isn't to be indispensable...it's to develop others so well that they thrive without you. #Leadership #MentorLeader

Leadership isn’t sustained by control but by trust. One of the dangers of influence and authority is that we can slowly stop listening, stop noticing, and stop caring how our words land on others. A short piece on leadership and self-awareness: nathanwhitaker.com/when-powe… #leadership

Great words right here 👇!
Leadership is all about relationships. Titles may open the door, but trust creates influence. People follow leaders who consistently show they care. #mentorleader

Yes!!
“Never underestimate your platform.” The Mentor Leader Could be as simple as: A conversation. An encouraging word. A lunch. A text. A small act of belief in someone else. Leadership moments rarely feel historic in real time—but they can change a life.

You can win and still fail as a leader if your people feel empty when it’s over. Build a culture that values growth, relationships, and purpose—not just the scoreboard. #mentorleader

If you build a team that depends on you, you’ve created limits. If you build leaders who build leaders, you’ve created momentum. Real leadership multiplies itself. #mentorleader

Strong leaders ask, “How can I help others grow?” Weak leaders ask, “How can this help me?” It's a critical shift that impacts culture, trust, and long-term results. #mentorleader
