This project has been a labor of love and still leaving us in shock and humbleness of the projects we get to take on. The stories and experiences of black women are rarely shared and understood, let's change that together!
The documentary explores the marginalization and associated harms experienced during Black girlhood and celebrates the resilience and strength found in adulthood. Experience the power and beauty of black girlhood through a film that showcases our stories, struggles, and triumphs.
So excited to finally be able to share The Essence of Black Girlhood Documentary with you all!
Join us Sept 1st for a block party and double screening of this film 🖤
Screenings at 3pm and 5pm!
Visit Essenceofblackgirlhood.org to get your tickets! 🧵
