Okpa, yoghurt, and pineapple juice for dinner. Not quite sure what I’m getting myself into with this combination, but we shall find out. 🥺😂

Toh.
it’s a parody of Wicked and old nollywood films + trailers. and in a way they also make fun of Cynthia’s dynamic with Ariana during the press tours which tied into old nolly queer themed films. this is the one time it’s okay to “caricature” because guess what? it is parody.

One day, I’ll write an article or a thread about location managers in Nollywood. There is something inherently evil about charging ₦2m per day for a house when the owners don’t even receive up to ₦700k. Then filmmakers arrive to shoot, the homeowners are cranky, one thing leads to another, and the shoot gets cancelled. Our greed is a lot. Honesty is really not that hard. The change we want must actually start with us.
“I almost lost my job while working with Kizz Daniel and Davido. Whenever I booked Davido for a show, he paid me a 10% commission. On one occasion, I booked him for an event organized by his uncle’s friends. Davido asked how much they were paying, and the amount was exactly what I had told him.” — Ubi Franklin

I thought elder sisters were supposed to take care of their younger sisters. Why is my own sister doing the opposite? 😩 This woman used to take care of me, and now I’m confused because when exactly did the roles reverse? 😭

I don't understand how girls in African countries can see how many older women have had to claw in our societies because they didn't have their own money, and still be tempted to want financial dependence on a man. It makes zero sense to me. Even as a joke it's not funny.
A lot of you women are living in La la land fr, and at some point you need to sit up and stop making men’s money the centre of your life. Please face your life and work for your own money. Financial independence is not just about being able to afford nice things. It’s also about having choices, maintaining your dignity and being able to leave situations that no longer serve you.
