Termination Shock vs. The Ministry for the Future: A Duel of Cli-Fi Novels: blogizdat.micro.blog/2023/03…
Legion Is Not Your Typical Superhero Story 💬 Every character is insane on some level, but their deep & diverse performances humanize them. Most become completely different people by the end. bit.ly/3PjHL58
Revenge by Ellery Twining 💬 Lyrically, this record is personal. It shows Rich digging deep into his past, the child of a broken family. His delivery and phrasing sit beautifully on top of the music. bit.ly/3J3lxTK
What Is a Person? 💬 You are the expression of a biological actuality. Consciousness is not a birthright. It is not a condition of humanity. It is hard fought for in each moment and without question is suspect in its existence at all. bit.ly/3nlvn9w
What is Tokusatsuploitation? 💬 Toku staked out a firm place in public consciousness. It’s now possible to create new material building from familiarity people have with well-known tokusatsu properties without actually licensing an existing property. bit.ly/3Nh5VfO
The Power of Emptiness 💬 Western minds associate emptiness with feelings of loss, loneliness, and lacking, while fullness is a symbol of success, gratitude and love. Eastern philosophy, however, reminds us that emptiness should be revered, not feared. bit.ly/3NmPCOz
Synchro Anarchy: Voivod steps Forward by Reaching Back 💬 This batch of new songs has a familiar feel, much like when my Mom would try a new recipe. It was still Mom’s meatloaf, but different. bit.ly/3HG0EgN
1875 — Marxist utopianist Ernst Bloch born, Ludwigshafen, Rhineland-Palatinate. bit.ly/3G0aMzL
1953 — Thomas Ligotti, contemporary American horror author and reclusive literary cult figure, born, Detroit, Michigan, United States. bit.ly/3PtxfcS
London, England: VINTNERS' PROCESSION. Porters in top hats sweep the path before the gold and black liveried beadle, the stavesman, Swan-Warden, Bargemaster, etc., all carrying nosegays. Has gone on for over 700 years.
Cheering On Volkssturm Behavior 💬 No sane person could argue, in 1945, that the hurling of old German men & women with cheap rocket launchers & antiquated rifles was going to change the tide of the war & so, I say it is with Zelensky and his regime. bit.ly/3mOG7wL
