I'm still not entirely sure whether #that article is real or not as I haven't seen any solid proof yet but since there seem to be good chances it is I'll probably stop engaging with the show. It's exhausting and fruitless to care about the things the creators don't care about
And if he WAS that terrible he would've broken up with jae the second he wasn't able to give him as much attention as before but they stayed together for months
The children media can have allegories for such topics but where tf was any allusion to it when it comes to datu 馃槶
Thinking about how the next thing to overcome to open the next chakra is guilt and how perfect that would've been for datu's arc potentially but oh well
With everything that was shown I believe he isn't a terrible person deep inside and could have a very compelling redemption arc but I don't put much hope into the writing team
I'm still irritated as fuck about the whole datu situation and how people in the fandom react to it. "He didn't have a personality it was clear he was going to be disposed of" from the same people who like DAEMIN?? WHO DIDN'T DO SHIT YET?
like it isn't a gotcha that you think when you say you knew he was going to be a villain immediately. the problem is it WAS obvious his character was going to be treated this way, but the writers had a chance to do something way more interesting and less predictable

I agree. I don鈥檛 know why some people want the fandom to just accept he was written to be a disapoble love interest and not expanded on as a character.
people saying it's illogical to be upset at how jaetu break up was handled bc their relationship was meaningless anyway as if any other romantic relationship has a lot of substance this season lmao
