Here’s what people need to understand: my daughter couldn’t care less about the Muslim Brotherhood or transgender people. She voted on the fact that her and her husband had to DROP THEIR HEALTHCARE during this open enrollment because they can’t afford a $900 monthly premium and a $6000 dollar deductible. They are only insuring her so they can have another baby and are praying her husband and one year old don’t get too sick.
So no, she couldn’t care less about Muslim’s in Minneapolis or Congress. She doesn’t care whether a person has a penis or a vagina. She doesn’t care whether her neighbor is documented or not. She doesn’t care about Iran or Israel or Ukraine. Her worries are in her home everyday knowing she can’t provide healthcare for her son.
So every elitist who wants to say we are doomed, the country is going to change, be scared of this, etc. She doesn’t care. And until the everyday life of the average person improves and families have breathing room and can afford a home and health care, this is what we are going to get.
The Republicans are SO out of touch about what actually matters and they deserved every bit of this.

You don't care that a Muslim Brotherhood member was elected to congress? You don't care that a bunch more transgenders were elected?

In 2024 the evangelical closing argument was that Trump was flawed, yet still worthy of being President.
This argument was extremely flawed. Actually, completely wrong.

Republicans keep saying that if we vote for a Muslim, we’ll all be wearing burqas and living under Sharia law.
It’s funny because only one party has been attacking women and our rights for years, and it’s NOT the Democrats.

It’s been a long, dark night. But today I hear in a new way the echoes of Scripture. Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Praying evangelicals will now realize how much damage they have done to America and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It’s the only way they will be able to reclaim credibility.

For the next two years, Democrats should put bill after bill on Trumps desk. Force him to veto them.
Bills to fix affordability, end the corruption, create jobs, end the war… all of them!
Then in 2028, it will be clear to voters who stood in the way of re-building America.

Ken Paxton’s senior advisor: “Our churches, Christianity — it’s all gone.”
The American people showed last night that they rightly think MAGA is a godless, corrupt movement that’s debasing our faith and our nation.
That’s why Democrats are sending a Methodist pastor, a Presbyterian seminarian, a Sunday school teacher, a Muslim doctor, and a Catholic Native American to Washington while reelecting a Jewish Southerner in Georgia.
This is America at its best.
I'm seriously in shock. I don't know what just happened in my country. What I know is that our children are no longer safe. Our borders are gonna be wide open. We're gonna have a state income tax. Our churches, Christianity—it's all gone. And let's not even talk about public education. What did we just do?

Now it's our turn to show America what Jesus' work on earth is REALLY supposed to look like. And it starts with how we treat those who treat us like enemies. Lead with love.

I’m tired of the hatred, division, and polarization in America.
Tonight , looks like a lot of Americans agree with me.

I wrote this in March and MAGA evangelicals treated it like heresy. Yet it's exactly what I heard time and again in Texas, from Texas Christians. nytimes.com/2026/03/08/opini…
"Talarico is one of the few openly Christian politicians in the United States who acts like a Christian, and by acting like a Christian, he reveals a profound contrast with so many members of the MAGA Christian movement that’s dominated American political life for 10 years."

Perhaps when the folks at @BreitbartNews ran this piece last year they thought they were mocking me. But I want to thank them for recording my ability to see the earthquake coming 15 months in advance.

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.
