My father a"h said this was his 'favorite' @Yahrtzeits & felt that Mr. Rosenberger should be more well known as he brought back a "lost" Mitzva to thousands of people!
He also said it's fitting that he shares a @Yahrtzeits with R'Meir Shapiro who had major impact with the Daf.

I realized that my post earlier came out a bit messed up - reposting as one post
@ShabbosReads I'm not a big reader. Slow reader, actually - when I read Harry Potter, by the 3rd book I couldn't remember who Harry was 🤓😂
But I spent a lot of time reading this over Shabbos/RH and it was worth every minute.
The Dance of Teshuva by Rav David Ebner z"l - essays & poetry, presented by 18Forty. For a slow reader like me, it was perfect. As the saying goes, good things come in small packages.
The first essay, "The Dance of Teshuva," could have ended the book right there and it would have been worthwhile for me. The idea: if teshuva is done by habit and not with heart, is it really teshuva?
The message is deep and makes you think. A lot. But it left me wondering the reverse: the second time we sin - if it's done by habit and not with soul and heart, does that make us better than we think we are?
Then "Between Man & Man." One line rang so loud I kept going back to it (notice the folded page): "Journeys, not destinations, are the only thing of importance."
We spend so much time focused on the end goal that we forget to focus on how we're getting there. So much happens along the way - it would be a shame to miss it all in exchange for the final stop.
And I'd be lying if I didn't admit that when I read "a ferd bleibt a ferd" (an ass always remains an ass), a few individuals immediately came to mind. Yes, on RH 🙈

"Rabbi David Ebner, was an Elul Jew, most comfortable in the season in which we examine ourselves and imagine who we might yet become." 🔥
let the #ElulJews revolution begin.

Rosh Hashanah reading from @18_forty!
The best books about teshuva ultimately ask you to stop reading—to put the book down, look up, and turn toward God.

"I'm not a hero, the real heros are our soldiers who came into Gaza, flipped it upside down just to find me, get me out, I salute them, they are my pride, I love them, they are my inspiring, they are my savers. Look I'm here praying under the sky, it’s gold, it’s worth it all, it’s worth all the two years, to see the sky and not imagine it. It’s fun, it’s happiness, literally look at us, here under a tree.”
But you are a hero Rom. You sacrificed your freedom and dignity for two years to save people at Nova. Like the lion you are.
Imagine still having this level of faith after everything he’s been through.
Congratulations to @Uber for discovering the Sheirut.
Uber's launching shuttles in NYC to take people from Manhattan to LaGuardia
• 14-passenger vans
• Trips every 30 minutes
• $18 to and from the airport
• Three pick up/drop off locations (Port Authority, Grand Central, Penn Station)
It makes a lot of sense, 15% of bookings last year came from airport trips
So grateful to be a member of the Jewish people today and every day
