gmm will add a few more bromance pairings for gmmnext. this i'm almost very sure of. they like to be the pioneer of certain concepts. like mascots. even bromance — i don't think other companies have FIXED bromance pairings? with snn, there are certain heights that were reached, that was never even reached by some bl cps. for further experimentation, last year they put out dt. also a great success. i think by now they've planned a great business model, contracts, dos and donts, a whole more organized plan of what to do and not to do as a 'pair', and be able to produce MORE bromance pairings soon. don't be surprised to see some well loved bl actors taking on the bromance framework. perhaps it has a less rigid timeline? more leeway in the pair contract? less obligation for fanservice or wtv, as they're no longer tied to the usual framework of bl and its methods of marketing? let's talk about the whole "why would a bl actor do that 😩" conversation some other day. i guess whatever makes bank, suits their schedules, and most importantly also align with their respective artistic & career choices of course. they're actors. employees. besides, i think bromance also fits gmm's 'disney channel' approach to things. bl market? oversaturated. gl? also oversaturated. the most popular ones have great chemistry, big budget, and ofc, wonderfully shot explicit nc scenes. the dark romance genre is also a hit these days. that's why i think they're steering away from producing too many bls and gls, and provide other variations. variations where explicit stuff aren't quite needed to be part of what is needed to make it 'sell'. (there's so much to unpack. let's dm to discuss. 💌) and bromance is perfect. still male centred 😝 and people will still ship these characters /actors anyway, hoping for a bl series for them, wanting to see more of them. and many more, of course, so many things i cannot say on the tl. an ensemble bromance series is probably on its way as well, as a way to probably introduce and market more, instead of allocating one for every pair. more ensemble gls and bls too, probably focusing more on big profitable cps that are guaranteed to bring more money. look at mat and pam, with many cps, bl & gl. look how big it got. more of that, of course. and sismance is also possible, but maybe not as many. just my neutral pov of things, based on the company's pattern. some matters concern ppl i stan, which is why i'm putting this out to see if my predictions are correct. hope this doesn't offend anyone 🙏🏻
