Assurance Wireless (T-Mobile) 5G SA vs 5G SA from Verizon. It looks like Verizon crushed them in the Beloit, WI Ho Chunk Casino during grand opening indoors.
T-Mobile in the basement can’t run a speed test and takes a minute give or take to load poison control and that is in the fall in the basement on iPhone. Thankfully AT&T is actively gutting their Nokia trash.
Both tests in the basement it looks like uplink increases significantly at almost 3AM with the uplink being faster than the downlink during normal hours. Best guess is most of the interference goes to sleep by now.
If they need him badly enough they can rescind the suspension since the employee was clearly concerned about being fired for working during the unpaid suspension.
Manager: “Don’t play games. This will take two minutes.”
Me: “Then it should take two minutes to get HR’s approval.”
He hung up.
Twenty minutes later, HR called.
HR: “Your manager says you’re refusing to cooperate.”
Me: “I’m happy to cooperate once I’m authorized to work.”
HR: “You’re making a simple situation complicated.”
Me: “I’m following the instructions in your email.”
On day 6, they called again.
HR: “We need you back tomorrow. The budget meeting has been moved forward.”
Me: “Please send the revised suspension notice.”
HR: “Why?”
Me: “Because your original email says I’m not allowed to work until day 7.”
HR: “You know what? Fine. Enjoy your suspension.”
I did.
When I returned, I discovered they had paid an outside consultant $1,200 to prepare the report I could have finished in an hour.
My salary for those 7 days had been withheld.
I looked at the invoice, then at my manager.
He said, “Let’s not discuss this.”
I smiled.
“Agreed. I prefer everything in writing.”
Would you call this employee difficult, or is this exactly why companies need to follow their own rules?
