Thank you so much to @UnlockAid for presenting me with their global visionary award. I deeply appreciate the hard work they do to improve the way the U.S. distributes foreign aid, making it more effective and efficient, and I’m happy to play a role in that mission.

FIGDA would create a funding pathway to scale the most effective innovations in global development, whether incubated inside or outside of @USAID. Great read by @dylanmatt on the big potential of @RepYoungKim & @JoaquinCastrotx's bill. 👏 vox.com/2023/4/25/23692700/u…

It’s long been the case that big funders giving restricted funding are subsidized by those of us doing unrestricted funding because the way they think about overheads etc has zero to do with what it takes for organizations to get things done in the real world.

I love it that @GiveWell is doing policy change, and trying to apply their usual rigor. It’s going to be good for all of us.
In December 2021, GiveWell recommended a grant of $15 million to RESET Alcohol Initiative to work on reducing harms from excessive alcohol consumption in low- and middle-income countries. Learn more on our new grant page: bit.ly/3NyKnNC
