The Parramatta Eels have secured one of the most respected football leaders in the game, appointing long‑time St Helens Chief Executive Officer Mike Rush as CEO, to lead the Club’s football and commercial operations.
In his 13 seasons as CEO, Rush oversaw the most dominant era in St Helens’ history, winning five Super League Grand Finals (including a record four straight), the Challenge Cup, and the 2023 World Club Challenge over Penrith. This period saw the rise of the St Helens Women’s team, including the 2021 treble, back-to-back Challenge Cup retentions in 2022 and 2023, and a fourth consecutive Challenge Cup alongside the League Leaders' Shield in 2024.

Big Ange Postecoglou deserves every second of the adulation he is getting… what he has delivered to this club after so many years is way way more than just a trophy… this feeling right now is just incredible 🤍

Looking from the outside in can really put things into perspective. Like the parent of a child who is with them almost every minute, the tiny incremental changes are often so subtle you don’t realise them immediately

Josh Inglis becomes the first Yorkshireman to score a Test hundred in the Ashes year of 2025 with a debut effort for Australia v Sri Lanka in Galle. Here he is getting a Year 8 sports award from Kaiser Chiefs as a 13-year-old in 2008, two years before emigrating.
Tried to watch #JPNvAUS and realised it is only behind a paywall. No wonder football is stuffed behind #NRL #AFL and all other codes. Complete joke @Channel10AU @Socceroos

Simon Willis, the Hong Kong head coach, said the major countries had provided “outstanding support” for the Sixes. “They understand their obligation to grow the game worldwide and this is a great tool to do that,” Willis said. “The Sixes has great history and tradition. We hope it whets the appetite of people watching in Hong Kong, as well as in mainland China and around Asia. We want people to think, ‘That looks exciting, I wouldn’t mind giving it a go.’ It is all about growing the game.”
