Gary Chambers, of Louisiana, deserves recognition for the years he has been organizing and advocating for the Black community to exercise their democratic right to vote and self determination. In this political moment Stacey Abrams , Charles Blow, Roland Martin, Senate candidate Angie Nixon have been recognized for engaging the Black vote in the South which was the catalyst of this “Blue” wave.
