I don’t think Al is making software engineering easier. If anything I think it’s making it harder, as systems will continue to grow more complex and the pace at which you are expected to ship increases.

The more I get into the business side of life, the more irritated I am at software developers (notice I didn’t say engineers). Just a bunch of socially inept people that had access to a very low barrier skill and are making it everyone’s problem.
