Don’t get me wrong, the public isn’t stupid for not understanding the very basics of the question: they’ve been directly lied to by politicians from Farage to Braverman & many pundits too. The lie that real refugees can take non-existent safe routes to the UK has stuck #r4today

Tweeps: you’re being treated cruelly and unfairly and I’m truly sorry this is happening to you. Please reach out if you need a referral to AWS or any other sort of support. My thoughts are with you, and Elon is a douche.

So the idea of Bring Back Boris has only a few small flaws: He isn't popular. He never was. He can't govern. He can't unify. Scandal & chaos follows him wherever he goes. And enough Con MPs know all of this to leave him unable to govern from day 1.

1/ Elon Musk has too large an audience to simply ignore this, and others have eloquently told him to fuck off already (which I'm here for) but I'd like to go point by point and explain why his ideas are misguided and impractical.
Ukraine-Russia Peace: - Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people. - Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake). - Water supply to Crimea assured. - Ukraine remains neutral.

Well. Older readers may recall that 12 days ago @GBNews posted this from its twitter account. Oddly it wasn't emailed to me or my agent. Even more oddly nobody seems to have been daring enough to sign it. It’s just signed “GB News”.

This is my Daughter’s 5 birthday in June of 2020. We chalked lines on the drive to create a gap because we didn’t think her and the one invited friend would be able to stay apart. I’m absolutely furious today!

I taught for 15 years and I’ve been home with kids for 6 years now. Both my kids are in school full time, no one in the house is vulnerable. So I clicked on the link to genuinely see what they’re asking. /1
We're asking former teachers to temporarily return to the classroom so children can continue to benefit from face-to-face education during the pandemic. It could be for as little as a day a week next term. You can find out how to sign up here: ow.ly/onIi50Hf0qe

Conversation with my first director at BigCo, about my new TLM job: me: So, I'm told that TLMs are automatically doomed because it's impossible to do both parts well. director: It's not that you're *automatically* doomed. It's just that we don't have any successful examples.

I've been very lucky. I've had 33 years of Clustal (1,2,3,4,V,W,X and Omega). Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and I joked in 2011 that it would be the last one. It is. I'm out of funding and kind of relieved. Thanks folks!! It's been a blast ;-).
