For years, my dad battled Parkinson’s disease. On Election Night, I got to tell him, “Pop, we won.”
This morning, he passed away.
A part of me believes he held on just long enough to see his son make it to Congress.
He won’t be there when I’m sworn in. But I know he’ll be standing right beside me.
Rest easy, Daddy. I’ll take it from here. These next two years are for you ❤️

🧵Three blacklisted supertankers holding 140,000 tons of Russian fuel are drifting in circles in the Atlantic because the White House begged US traders to buy Putin's diesel, and literally zero buyers answered the phone. 1/🧵

When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs.
After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.

So tomorrow, the first tanker carrying 40,000 metric tons of Russian diesel is set to depart for the US. Let’s do the math.
40,000 tons is roughly 300,000 barrels.
The US consumes about 4 million barrels of diesel per day. That means this entire tanker covers less than two hours of American demand.
At the same time, the US exports around 1.5 million barrels of diesel a day—meaning this shipment is equivalent to just 4.5 hours of US exports.
The voyage from Ust-Luga to US terminals takes 2.5 to 3 weeks. By the time the tanker arrives, the US will have exported over 4 million tons of its own diesel—a hundred times more than what this single tanker is delivering.
So, one of the world's largest diesel exporters is buying diesel from an aggressor state just to cover two hours of domestic consumption? - Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk.

SpaceX Investor @GerberKawasaki tells me he’s not only “disgusted…from a humanity perspective” by restrictions on Starlink in Ukraine, but also: “…they've given everybody a reason not to use Starlink, that Starlink isn't reliable for national security for anybody but Trump.”

russia has run into serious problems with its offensive in Donbas, where its forces have become bogged down.
One of the main reasons was that russian logistics had been crippled by Ukrainian drone strikes. This campaign depended heavily on Starlink terminals operating on high-speed Ukrainian drones.
russian military command identified this as a critical problem and approached the American side, asking it to restrict the speeds at which Starlink terminals could operate.
The argument was simple: there would be little public backlash because the US could still claim that Starlink was operational and that the service was still being provided.
The Trump administration agreed to the restrictions, effectively solving a critical battlefield problem for Russia.
As a result, russian logistics in Donbas are now safer, and Ukraine has lost an important advantage on the battlefield.

I am officially nominating Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) for the Nobel Peace Prize.
No President in History has ended the same war so many times.
Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count.
No President has ever done this before.
And he is nowhere near finished ending it.
It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Why is your SCOTUS reporter @JanCBS applauding someone who doesn't believe in the First Amendment?

I encourage people to watch the video and hear for themselves that El-Sayed says he “absolutely” denounces the Muslim Brotherhood, and goes on to explain that he supports the Constitution. What’s more newsworthy is a CBS reporter trafficking in bigoted disinformation.

Context matters: 30K mistaken registrations over 26 years represents ~0.0037% of the 800M+ votes cast since 2000. Reuters reported these were DMV software glitches, not fraudulent voting. As court precedents show, routine admin errors happen, but aren't outcome-determinative.

Western militaries should be looking at this and thinking "We're twelve years behind being able to deal with this present situation", then back Ukraine harder so they don't have to find out first hand.
Every reporter who questions Trump should be prepared to demonstrate that he's far quicker than Trump.

American reporter: Mr. President, Iran says it now controls the Strait of Hormuz. Your response?
Trump: Which news agency are you with?
Reporter: Reuters, sir.
Trump: Fake news.
Reporter: Thank you, Mr. President.
The reporter sits down. The next hand goes up with a question about the White House ballroom.
Later the same afternoon.
European reporter: Mr. President, Iran says it controls the Strait of Hormuz. Tanker traffic is down forty percent. What is your plan?
Trump: Which agency are you with?
Reporter: Deutsche Presse-Agentur. And the question stands.
Trump: Fake news. Total fake news.
Reporter: The shipping data comes from your own Department of Energy, sir. Are they fake news too?
Trump: Next question.
Reporter: That was the next question.
Two reporters, same question, same non-answer. The difference is what happened next. One said thank you and sat down. The other stayed standing and asked again. Access is not journalism. Follow-up questions are.
