A delegation of the "BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry" #BRICS_CCI called on, led by its Chairman Sh Sameep Shastri, who incidentally also happens to be the grandson of former PM Late Sh Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The members of the delegation gave a brief about the Chamber's initiatives over the past decade to promote trade facilitation, business-to-business engagement, women entrepreneurship, StartUp networking, Artificial Intelligence, research partnerships and sectoral cooperation among BRICS and BRICS Plus countries.
They also discussed ways to strengthen industry-led global engagement and collaboration across the BRICS and BRICS Plus ecosystem through innovation, StartUps, emerging technologies, research collaboration and entrepreneurship.
Reiterated to them that India's growing stature as a global innovation hub and its leadership in emerging technologies provide an ideal opportunity for industry organisations to build stronger international partnerships that contribute to national growth and global development. Institutions working in the BRICS space could strive to create a distinct value proposition through knowledge, innovation and meaningful partnerships rather than limiting themselves to conventional networking platforms.

At the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, addressed the session on ‘Peace and Security and Reform of Global Governance.’ Expressed my views on why the voice of the Global South is more important than ever before and why it’s essential that global institutions provide adequate representation to the Global South for their own credibility and effectiveness.

It was a very good meeting with Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Brazil. Malaysia is vital for India, having a key place in our Vision MAHASAGAR and Act East Policy.
We reviewed the ground covered in our bilateral relations, including the progress made since PM Ibrahim’s visit to India last year. Futuristic sectors like IT, renewable energy and infrastructure are those where bilateral ties are growing strongly. Also discussed how to improve investment and trade relations between our nations.
