💔 We woke up to a terrifying scene in Gaza today.
Part of the roof of our destroyed home collapsed onto our water tanks.
But my greatest fear isn’t the damage. It’s that the remaining roof could collapse onto our nearby animal shelter.
With a storm approaching, we urgently need to find specialists to assess the danger and help us protect the innocent lives we’ve fought so hard to save.🐾💔

For over a week, border crossings were closed by the occupation and flour was not entering Gaza. Parents cannot take much more. What are they supposed to do when their children are starving and they cannot even afford bread?

The military occupation continues to use access to food as a means of engineered deprivation, leaving families terrified of the next shortage and the next closure.
On October 19, The Sameer Project distributed 534 bundles of freshly baked bread across three displacement shelters in Gaza, reaching approximately 2,670 people.
Each bundle cost less than $2.50, to provide one family with bread. And the days distribution cost a total of $1,134 after 11% transfer fees.
In Palestine Square Camp, Kenya Camp, and Awni al-Harthani School, hundreds of displaced families are struggling to survive in overcrowded shelters and deteriorating tents, without reliable access to food, water, or medicine.

Excellent and disturbing new report from @EndCorruptionUK based on over 40 FOI requests.
Spotlight has found that UK govt ministers have held 137 meetings about Data Centres and AI growth zones between June 2024 and June 2026... but they didn't meet a single environmental group.
Government met only two community groups - but only AFTER the government had approved growth zones in their communities.
At the same time, Spotlight found that 38 government officials had left to take positions at AI and tech firms.
Spotlight is (correctly) calling for a halt on the approval of new AI and Data Centre Development zones until there has been a proper national consultation on community and environmental impacts. In other countries, these consultations have led to important new regulations to enforce environmental protections.
