It's #WorldMentalHealthDay Nearly 1 in 7 people live with a #MentalHealth condition. People with lived experience can help transform mental health care at every stage: from designing services to delivering and improving them. By collaborating and working together, experts with lived experience, and people working in mental health systems, policy, and research can design care that is person-centred, rights-based and rooted in dignity. Make community-based services stronger, support continuity of care and make every conversation count bit.ly/4yJjvBc

People with lived experience are asked to share their stories but are often excluded from policy decisions. Meaningful engagement extends beyond simply being heard. This #WorldMentalHealthDay, we call on all decision makers and leaders to move from listening to action – and build mental health systems with people who live with mental health conditions, not merely for them. #LetsTalk and act together!

Honestly being in analysis and experiencing real analytic boundaries for the first time, then having to go back and unpack whatever the hell was actually going on in all of your previous therapy experiences, is such a trip!

Suicide among the youth has become a worrying issue. In the past few days I have heard three cases from people I talked to. We need a separate mental health strategy as a country, more training of professionals, a suicide hot line and increased awareness creation in the media.

The hustle culture lie: Sleep less, achieve more. The truth: Sleep deprivation kills focus, creativity, and decision-making. Sleep isn’t your enemy. It’s your secret weapon.

Introverts stay quiet but they notice everything. Even the things you thought they didn't. The nervousness in your walk. The confidence in your tone. The lies in your eyes. The words people say to hide what they don’t. But they stay quiet because they know the why behind the why.

“I’d love some bread, but I’m trying to keep my ventricles slim. One baguette and next thing you know I’m seeing shadow people with French accents.”
Bread and pasta may be to blame for your depression and fatigue — and could even cause schizophrenia trib.al/fdrRRz7

Introverts are people of silence & solitude. Quiet mornings. Lazy afternoons. Calm evenings. They don't need much to be happy. Just chill vibes, good hearted people. Books, long walks, movies, some good music. And a whole lot of reflection on meaning & purpose. The little things.

Substances, food, gambling, pornography, none of these are random. They are surrogate caregivers. They soothe, regulate, and respond on demand. The addict bonds to the substance in the same way a child bonds to a caregiver who both comforts and frightens.

some of you who pride yourselves on detecting AI writing need to admit that a lot of human writing is also formulaic, cliche-ridden, and reliant on tripartite structure—and some of it even uses em-dashes

The problem with tech is that it’s still largely being built by men who’ve never felt truly connected to themselves, to others, or to the world. It’s revenge-of-the-nerd energy disguised as innovation, and it’s torpedoing culture, intimacy, and meaning in the process.
