The ongoing protests and upcoming tax filing deadline got me thinking — what exactly are my tax rupees funding?
The ₹upee Report visualises how the Indian union government spent your tax rupees, down to the individual line item.
My enthusiastic agreement to this being great date ideas reflects my fascination (and frustration) towards modern dating and relationships.
The best thing I did for my health, both physical and mental was charting out the most walkable routes around my house and the places I frequent.
The most time consuming part was filtering/adjusting for vehicle traffic, foot traffic, debris and the other 40 or so externalities.
Been more proactive re health over the past year. Got all tests in the cent plan sans MRI & mammogram for ~7k.
Current positioning is over engineered, esp at 25k. Higher TAM & LTV w a base plan of bloodwork & essential early detection tests at ~5-10k. Upsell rest via modularity.
Today we’re announcing Cent's $15M Series A, co-led by @BlumeVentures and @spc , and our acquisition of AI radiology platform Medsee.
When you look at how healthcare works in India, almost all of it is organised around the moment someone falls ill. Hospitals, doctors and insurance are all paid to treat, and very little of the system is built to look for disease in people who feel well. It’s a big reason most cancers here are still found at stage 3 or 4.
We started Cent to work on the other side of that problem. Over the last year, about 10,000 people have come to us without symptoms. 1 in 4 had something worth acting on, and 1 in 40 needed to see a doctor right away. Very few of them had any reason to suspect it.
Finding disease this early, for millions of people, takes technology built for the purpose. This round lets us invest more deeply in our own hardware, AI and clinical research, and Medsee brings a strong AI reporting team into that work.
Our goal is 10 million scans by 2035, and through them, helping save 1 million lives.
Thank you to @BKartRed , @prateekmehta42 , Arun Sarin, @snsf , @sharathk83 , @krishna_srd and @AprameyaRadhaK for backing us, and to our team and every member who has trusted us with their health. Read more: cent.health/blog/series-a-in…

The autistic tendency to shuffle across new songs until you stumble onto one that (re)discovers your joie de vivre.
The ADHD tendency to play said song on loop up until the point you become indifferent towards it.
Wild how you can stack 14 great hours together but the 15th undoes all that by making you want to rip out your insides so you no longer feel anything.
Just lost my favorite enamel pin.
Spent 5 days trying to get someone to make a batch of 3 — no takers.
Called her once. Less than 24 hours and it was sorted.
Will always regret not getting back to her in time.
Took me 4 days to clock Fermi isn’t a game of estimation, rather a game of (making the closest) assumptions.
Was making small talk with a mathematician today
Mentioned how my existing knowledge of the subject was limited to the humanistic body of work by educators like Feynman & Tao — lone example being Rich's letter to his (late) wife
Funny how fate (and the algo) comes full circle
Out of everything that's gone wrong this year, the event that absolutely wrecked me is losing my second favorite enamel pin. Little over a year post losing my favorite one.
Sigh. Grief manifests in the most innocuous of ways.
A buried lead amongst all the blow money hullabaloo is Snabbit still not paying contractors a living wage
T1 cities require ₹23-25k pm to sustain a family of 4
Zomato partners in 2025 netted ₹21k
UC Instahelp estimates ₹21-25k
Snabbit claims ₹22-40k (8-12 hrs)

If you look past conventional superficiality of attractive people racing fast cars, F1 is the worst viewing experience of all the major sports.
Like genuinely, wym Mercedes is winning cause of “better battery deployment and energy management”?

It’s always bothered me that the Boston Globe took down this article because every time I see a story like this I want to post it: web.archive.org/web/20210504…
Find it utterly fascinating that this is the exception rather than the norm.
Parentheses is the most versatile tool in rhetoric. Helps throughline several concepts, whilst injecting humor, all (without) breaking the fourth wall.
The anti-immigration argument is hysterical, especially re Microsoft and Adobe when both their CEOs who collectively are responsible for ~$3.5 trillion wealth creation over the past decade, were direct beneficiaries from this.
.@Sonderling47: "I am hereby suspending from the Permanent Labor Certification Program some of the largest IT outsourcing firms in the world — Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini — and also, due to multiple active federal investigations, @USDOL is suspending Microsoft and Adobe from the program."
Funnily enough, there's precedent aplenty
Because of CCI probes, Swiggy sold The Bowl Company and Amazon divested Cloudtail & Appario
Funnier still, CCI penalties go to India's Consolidated Fund rather than to aggreived consumers
Everything really does lead back to taxes, lol
Outside the tech working class, AI faces a huge trust deficit. Which makes this demo that much more insane
The message isn't "Use AI to book your flight" (after a 5 min context dump)
It is "Use AI to chase that overdue airline refund" (reclaiming 30 mins and your peace of mind)
Spent the past year trying out different avenues to find 'community.'
Came to the conclusion the single highest leverage way to achieve it is by giving strangers the opportunity to comfortably be themselves in a space that you call your own.
