New update: dev buys on the Float launch form are now capped at 3% of supply
Until now, a dev could buy as much of their own coin as their wallet allowed, at the lowest price, before anyone else had a chance
The cap only covers that first buy at launch. Once a coin is live, devs can buy more like anyone else, at the same market price, alongside everyone else
3% still lets a dev take a real stake, while the other 97% stays open at launch
The form also shows exactly how much supply your SOL gets you before you launch

We just sent out the first airdrop in Float's history.
$127,500 USDC, straight to the wallets of our top 100 traders. No claim page. No forms. No points to convert. The money simply showed up. Every payment is on chain and listed at floatlaunch.xyz/airdrops, so you don't have to take our word for any of it.
I want to talk about why this matters to us.
Crypto has a strange habit. A platform launches, traders show up, and those traders create everything: the volume, the attention, the memes, the culture, the reason anyone cares in the first place. They pay fee after fee, through green days and brutal ones. Some of these platforms go on to make hundreds of millions of dollars.
And the people who built all of that get told to wait.
Wait for the token. Wait for the season. Wait for the announcement. "Wen airdrop" became a joke in this space because the waiting became normal. People stopped expecting anything back from the platforms they made rich, and honestly, that's the saddest part.
We don't think it has to be that way.
On Float, 35% of every fee goes to traders. It sits in a vault, gets converted to USDC, and goes back to the people whose volume created it. Another 35% buys back and burns FLOAT. Holders get 15%, paid in the asset their coin is paired with. Creators get 5%. None of that depends on us being in a generous mood. It's how the platform was built from day one.
This isn't a shot at anyone. We're not here to pick fights or tear other teams down, and there's plenty of room in this space for everyone building something. We just want to show there's another way to do this.
Because the airdrop is only part of what we care about.
Ask anyone who's been trading memecoins for a while and they'll tell you the same thing: it stopped being fun. You find a coin you like, you buy it, and then you find out someone scooped up 20% of the supply at a $3K market cap and has been waiting for you to arrive. So people stopped holding. They stopped believing. Every chart became a trap to escape instead of something to be part of.
That's a big reason every coin on Float starts at a $20K market cap. Grabbing 20% of a coin at $3K costs around $600. At $20K, it costs at least $4,000. We can't make bundling disappear and we won't pretend we can, but we can make it far more expensive, and we can make holding worth something, with real assets paid out to holders along the way.
That's the environment we're trying to build. One where you can hold a coin without feeling like the exit. One where you can top blast again because you actually believe in what you're buying. One where the people who show up every day get something back for it.
Today was the first step, not the finish line. Thank you to everyone who traded, launched, held, and believed in this before there was anything to point to.
This is the first one. It won't be the last.
$FLOAT just paid me $7,000 for 6 days of trading on the launchpad. Holy shit

Leaderboard update before today's airdrop
Trades made through @fomo weren't being credited to the traders. Fomo pays the network fee for its users, and our system was giving that volume to Fomo's wallet instead of yours.
That's fixed. Every past trade has been recounted and credited to the wallet that actually made it.
31 Fomo traders are now in the top 100.
Snapshot: today at 11:00 AM CST
Top 100 traders by volume get paid from the vault, pro rata

We just updated our analytics page
Burns now have their own page, with everything you need to check them yourself:
→ Every buyback with its Solscan transaction
→ Total burned, % of supply and SOL spent, read straight from the chain
→ Hourly and daily burn charts
→ A step-by-step guide to verify every burn yourself
We also changed how buybacks work: they now land as 5 SOL buys instead of small ones every 10 minutes, so you'll see them on the chart. If 4 hours pass without reaching 5 SOL, it buys whatever has built up.
35M+ $FLOAT burned so far (3.5% of supply)

Float update 🌊
Every coin launched on floatlaunch.xyz now gets a contract address ending in "fLoat"
→ Works on every pair: stocks, SOL and tokens
→ Dev buy still lands in the same transaction as the launch
→ Coins already launched keep their current CA and aren't affected
Heads up: the "fLoat" ending comes from launching on our site. Coins launched through third-party tools or scripts that call the program directly still get a regular CA
Also shipped behind the scenes:
→ Moved to a bigger dedicated server built to handle our growth
→ Security hardening across the launch flow and our servers
→ Upgraded launch transactions so every pair fits in one transaction
→ Extra safety checks on holder rewards payouts
→ Price protection on $FLOAT buys from our buyback wallet
Launch yours today.

New pair on Float: SPY
You can now launch a coin paired with SPY, the S&P 500 ETF, one of the most traded funds in the world.
→ Launch with SOL, Float swaps into SPY for you
→ Holders get paid their share of trading fees in SPY
→ Liquidity locked forever on graduation

Float just passed $319K in fees, more than triple our last update
Every fee is split on chain, automatically:
→ $44.6K paid to holders, in the stocks and tokens their coins pair with
→ $111.8K of $FLOAT bought back and burned (5.54% of supply)
→ $113.5K in USDC waiting for the top traders, airdropped tomorrow, Nov 4
→ $15.9K earned by creators
→ 1,172 coins launched on 126 stocks and tokens
And we're just getting started. We're working on new updates that will make a real impact for the trenches.
