Coach Norvell, I just want to take a moment to thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my family during my time at Florida State. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play at Florida State University, believing in me, and seeing something in me even when I may not have seen it in myself. You’ve played a major role in changing my life, not just on the field but off the field as well, and for that, I’ll forever be grateful. I want you to know that your impact on me goes far beyond football. The lessons, conversations, guidance, and genuine love you’ve shown me and my family are things I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I’ll never forget the day you yelled at me for thrity minutes straight at practice for running out of bounds. 😂😂 It's one of those moments I'll always look back on and laugh about, but it also shows how much you cared about pushing me to be the best version of myself. I wish you nothing but success and happiness in whatever comes next. I know greater days are ahead, and I have no doubt that God has something special in store for you. And just like you would always tell me, keep your head up and your chest poked out! Never forget the impact you’ve made on so many lives, including mine. Thank you for everything, Coach. I appreciate you more than words can explain, and I love you! ❤️🍢

Florida State University President Richard McCullough informed head football coach Mike Norvell this afternoon that FSU is making a change in the leadership of its football program, effective immediately. FSU Athletics Hall of Fame member Rick Stockstill has been named interim head coach.

A half competent coach with the same roster budget wins 8 games at least with this schedule/ roster even with a clueless admin
Replying to @b_leezy09
Because I think some fans have put too many eggs in the "fire Norvell" basket.

Can’t even bring myself to turn it off until the clock hits 0:00. Just inflicting extra pain
I truly wish I was strong enough to not watch until Mike is no longer coaching Florida State

Both fireable offenses. Throw in the fact we had 2 weeks to prepare for it
Let’s not let giving up 26 points to a terrible Clemson offense distract us from our offense only putting up 10.

Guys, guys, guys. I'm not trying to be rash. Or knee-jerk here. But it might be ... MIGHT be ... time for Florida State to think about getting a new football coach.

Hasn’t won a road game in over 1000 days and routinely loses to teams that pay less for a roster and coaching staff. Why give more money, influx of it in 2024 after the great 2023 and won 2 games
Replying to @BobFerrante
Maybe I’m dense (been accused of it before) but if you pump more money into the roster with the current HC, won’t the likelihood of a better result increase? Same guy who coached the 2023 team is here. I’m not seeing an issue with staying the course. Fans will come crawling back when we start winning.
