It's both: Unlimited "midwit" intelligence (agent swarms using too-cheap-to-meter intelligence ~ at the cost of electricity), AND very smart frontier intelligence($$$$$ from big labs; and likely gatekept).
Sometimes I go through old posts of mine to see what I got right and what I got wrong. I’m going to count this as being early to agent swarms.

I just opened up Wordcraft instead of opening Google Docs for light formatting. This might stick. The local mcp for gridcraft (excel alike) sounds cool. I need to play around with it.
I had a look at the ArtCraft project by Brandon Thomas. They are free, open-source Rust reimplementations of the major Adobe and Microsoft apps. They have been making the rounds, but I only got to try them out today. The excel clone seems quite convincing. MS Office should get in on the act: xitter.cf/btbytes/status/2115144…
Nice! > Apple officially introduced native Model Context Protocol (MCP) support for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, allowing external AI agents to read document content, perform edits, and execute automated actions directly.

Kinda wild that apple has Keynote/Pages/Numbers via MCP before Microsoft has it in Office

Many academics are acting like children when it comes to AI. Knowledge machine: here have some free knowledge. Academics: no! stop doing it so fast! let me do it!

I heard the same in 2000. It had barely begun all these years. We can finally stop shoveling mud with bare hands and start using power tools.
The age of software is over..

I solved this for my Brother HL-2270DW by using a powerline adapter. this is pretty cool too.
You can convert any USB-only printer to AirPrint using a cheap ESP32-S3 😉 No Raspberry Pi required!

There is a book about it ("In Praise of Shadows")
I love how the Japanese do lighting. It seems like everywhere you go, it's low and warm lighting. It's pleasant.

To paraphrase Letorneau, inventor of diesel construction machinery, AI is not to make small jobs easy, it's to make large jobs small.

Yawn.. next.
3-year degrees are gaining momentum. NYU President Linda Mills: “Universities are due for another evolution: offering 90-credit, three-year bachelor’s degrees in fields that demand immediate workforce development.” “Four years of college is not an inviolable standard.”
