As parental a role both Eddie and Chris might see Buck in, he only ever LET HIMSELF see his as friend. "It wouldn't be so crazy" only caused Buck to want to secure Eddie in role of friend more than ever. He needs to see himself as "dad". I think Eddie needs to help him see it.
I expect Hennessy once I've cast my ballot now.
They are giving out Hennessy if you vote a straight Democrat ticket allegedly nitter.gq/i/election/10472548274…

I do hope they bring up something about Buck's string of recent traumas bc whether he realizes it or not part of why he's treating Theo this way is because he's projecting onto him. Buck needs the "fun" escape as much as he thinks Theo does.

hello everyone seems to be misinterpreting this tweet so let me clarify that i meant that i think the show/writers DO prioritise buck’s grief but that BUCK HIMSELF does not. and if you still disagree with that statement then i can’t help you
I def need Maddie and Eddie to talk, but the more and more I want Buck to be the one to fix things between Buddie. He needs to own his mistakes and accept the help his partner was trying to offer. I need Maddie to push him in that direction bc she sees what Eddie sees.

IMO, Buck immediately went on the defensive bc he KNOWS his current approach is bad and not what Theo really needs. He's taking it anyway because the dudes been through so much trauma himself recently, he's projecting it onto Theo...

The concept of 911 dispatcher and mother Maddie Han hearing about Theo breaking windows, unplugging fridges (possibly playing with outlets), beating up Buck, and still being 100% on her brother's side and not seeing anything wrong with that dynamic
In my entire life, his death is actually the one that affects me the most bc of how much he cared for his students and wanted to push them as far as he could and he did. Bc of him, I got to sing at Pope Benedict's last paple audience.
Prison. These people deserve prison time and hard labor. They won't get it, but it's what this scum deserve. Get a fucking warrant for the footage or leave.
Greenville, NC: A mother with a baby at home was woken at 3:20 a.m. after a nearby shooting (bullets nearly hit two kids). Police wanted her Ring doorbell footage. She said the camera was dead.
Sgt. Jennifer Umphlet threatened to rip it off the wall, get a warrant, and keep her up all night. Officers then entered without a warrant, detained her for “not cooperating,” and (per her account) used her face to unlock and search her phone. Nothing found—she wasn’t a suspect.
The actual shooters were later charged without her video. Umphlet was placed on leave; public records later showed she was no longer employed.
This is what happens when “can we see your camera?” turns into forced entry and detention of ordinary people.

“It was a model volcano, Eddie. Not a nuclear bomb.”
“It wasn’t about the volcano and you know it.”
“No. No, i know. It’s about how bad a job I’m doing at being parent. I got that loud and clear.”
“Buck,” Eddie sighs. “You know I don’t think that. I wouldn’t have written you…
Eddie left outta that house hurt but already working on a plan to get through to Buck. He always knows how to get through to him. It's been proven 100% of the time.
