we’re definitely in an “i just don’t like you, but i’m too self-righteous to admit that’s what’s going on, so instead i’m gonna invent a moral-sounding reason to retcon the reason for my attitude” epidemic

things hashino was responsible for in nocturne: -the difficulty: subjective i know, but people's perception of nocturne's difficulty is a big part of its identity -press turn: he goes into deep detail on how he came up with the idea (sources in reply)

Yeah Hashino is not responsible for Nocturne being Nocturne at all a lot of the driving force for that was Kaneko and Okada. Persona 3, Catherine and Metaphor Re Fantazio. These are the projects he had significant creative control and ideated huge chunks of the game's identity.

learning how to setup an emulator doesn't take years of practice like learning to play an instrument. you literally could've learned how to use one within the time you spent arguing about it. i encourage anyone who games on pc or smartphone to learn. really opens a lot of doors.

playing on piano can be understood as a 3 step process but it’s a wild oversimplification to what it actually is. How are you surprised that the average gamer doesn’t know how to emulate games dawg this isn’t something people do on the daily 😭

and it goes without saying, i don't mean to condescend people who have never used an emulator before. i'm just very enthusiastic about it. my parents stopped buying me consoles after a point, so emulation kinda became my childhood.

not really about whether it's "moral" to use them. it's more how much you use them vs your sense of accomplishment. however, not a fan how people nowadays act like there's a "time limit" to finish games. yes you have responsibilities but games don't have deadlines like THOSE do.

you're also smart enough to finish games way faster now than you could as a kid. BUT STILL just take your time to enjoy them at your own pace. anyways see you in a decade when i finally finish great ace attorney chronicles.
