I’m talking about studies about AI usage in big companies. I’m not working in a big company so idk what you are on about.

we know perfectly well, that big companies have diminishing productivity improvements from AI in coding they are not cutting costs "amid AI adoption" they are cutting costs because they know that OpenAI is ngmi and that they fucked up
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg. Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible. This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

It is kinda odd how this entire PHP RCE disclosure felt more like a marketing campaign than a vulnerability disclosure.

if they are marked as a "Docker Official Image", then Docker should take care of actually updating them and pay the people who do so or have the upstream maintainers do it. I don't think thats an unreasonable expectation.

How did everyone know the exact time of today's PHP release except for Docker? It took over 2 hours for the official images to update. This is not an open-source project, this is a fucking unicorn.

I really don’t think embargos like this are a good idea in this day and age. It just creates pure chaos from announcement to release.
The PHP security team is giving advance notice: Upcoming security release Wed, Oct 21st 2026, 14:00UTC, two critical vulnerabilities, both rated CVSSv4 9.2. PHP users are encouraged to prepare to update. Earlier release if details become public or active exploit evidence.

its basically a race of "can we produce new shitty software fast enough to compensate for all the old shitty software". exciting times.

Introverts didn't ask for this work to be done.
I dislike introverts who need to be told everything multiple times when in a group setting. You have to keep offering them food, try hard to engage them and check on them to ensure they are ok. They will just sit quietly in a corner and you will never know if they are ok or not, or if they are upset or need care. I hate doing that labour for them. Like dude you can talk, you are normal! You are an adult, not a child. Please emote, talk and let others know what you want or don't want. Be a part of what's going on and don't kill the vibe by just disconnecting with who's around you. Sincerely, an extrovert who always puts that effort.

The weekly limits on the 20x plan is already only about double the 5x one, so that won't work unless they also cut down all the other plans.

nobody cares about your rust rewrites of shitty software, because if you just blindly copy existing software, you clearly don't care either.
