𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝟵𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗡 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗦 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗔 𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗨 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 The National Police Service, in collaboration with multi-agency security partners, has recovered 956 goats, 10 cattle, and three donkeys following two separate banditry raids in Isiolo and Meru Counties. In the first incident, bandits raided Gotu, Isiolo County, yesterday, 26 October 2026. Officers from the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) Gotu, working closely with multi-agency partners, responded promptly to the scene. Their swift action resulted in the successful recovery of 256 stolen goats as the pursuit of the remaining stock intensified. In a separate operation, officers from ASTU Kisima and multi-agency partners responded to another banditry raid at Maili Tano along the Meru–Isiolo border. Supported by aerial surveillance, the team launched a relentless pursuit of the bandits and intercepted them at the Dam area. Following an intense exchange of fire, the joint security team recovered all 700 goats, 10 cattle, and three donkeys. The National Police Service reiterates its relentless campaign against the banditry scourge. Operation Maliza Uhalifu will continue to intensify across all affected regions to dismantle these criminal networks completely.
