What’s happening today is going to have ramifications for Australian art and speech for a long time.
Read @NourHaydar’s reporting on it.

So much respect for @antoinette_news' , her composure and tenacity in the face of such hostile ‘gotcha’ line of questioning from ABC’s defence is formidable.

"Ita Buttrose pushed for Antoinette Lattouf to be taken off-air, asking why she could not 'come down with flu, or COVID or a stomach upset?' after receiving a tranche of complaints about her."
Ooft. Can't wait to hear what Ita has to say on the stand.

Whether a ceasefire occurs in Lebanon or not, the situation at hand is unchanged: Israel is an apartheid state committing a genocide in Palestine and it is upon all of us to resist their horrific crimes against humanity. All states need to end trade and enact sanctions.

I'm finding it very hard to comment on events in the Middle East. The indifference and even enthusiasm towards the indiscriminate bombing of Arabs and Muslims speaks to something deeper and dark. It never went away. But I never thought I'd see it presented so unapologetically.
