Sadly we are in a situation where we might have to forfeit against @outfit_49 for Advanced this week. Even though we tried work out a time to play so it wouldn't conflict with their Dust2 match and did reschedule it to earlier, once we showed up at the new time it was force rescheduled one minute before vetoes started. I know the admin who made the decision had good intentions, and I also don't blame the other team for anything. BUT the integrity of the rules needs to be respected for these things, because we are possibly being made to forfeit for reasons completely out of our control after we made ourselves available to show up firstly on a default day and secondly at an adjusted time when we originally were the ones that needed the reschedule first and got denied. The force reschedule does not meet ESEA's requirements (either conflicting LAN or ESL-run event), was not made with 24 hours notice (one minute notice, actually), and was made after we were already rescheduled off default time. With no notice, we have to randomly find a date/time (probably late into the night if anything) that they can agree to in order to even have a chance to play the game. I hope these kinds of decisions are made differently in the future. Again, the other team didn't do anything wrong. We really are just getting trolled by good intentions from admins having unintended consequences so I don't want this to be seen as an inflammatory post towards anyone. Laugh at me for caring this much about a beer league game, but it's about principles and the fact that "beer league" is an opportunity to climb for noobs like us.
