@jamestalarico —endorsed by @KamalaHarris —said last week he supports “fair voter ID” and consistent rules so no group is favored over another. Prop 39 does exactly that in California: voter ID at the polls, verification for mail ballots, and a free ID for anyone who needs one. Democrat voters across California support Prop 39 because they care about the health of our democracy, even when career politicians and political insiders don’t. Harris is backing Talarico, but her own party is fighting Prop 39. If it’s worth supporting in Texas, why fight it at home?

Prop 39 is a common-sense voter ID measure. What's NOT common sense... ...@RoKhanna is backing a Texas candidate who just publicly called for a level playing field on voter ID. Yet, his own party in California is fighting the measure that delivers exactly that. The hypocrisy is hard to miss, and the contrast raises a straightforward question: If fair, consistent voter ID standards are worth supporting in Texas, why not in California?

Prop 39 released a new ad today highlighting what politicians don’t want you to know: California is one of a handful of states that don’t require a photo ID to vote. Prop 39 is a battle of politicians versus people. Politicians want you to vote no. The People are voting yes. This ad is a parody, but the problem is not. The politicians want to protect their power and money. We want to give it back to you. Vote Yes on Prop 39. Donate: efundraisingconnections.com/…

@SenAlexPadilla and @RepSwalwell don’t want voter ID, but Californians do. This is a simple voter ID proposition that uses a government ID that voters already have, or voters can request a free voter ID card. Prop 39 preserves mail-in ballots. Mail ballots only have to match the last four digits of the government ID number voters use when registering or updating voter registration. Over 100,000 mail ballots were rejected in the last election due to signature mismatches. Relying only on signature verification for mail-in ballots is subjective and prone to human error, both from voters whose signatures have shifted over time and from election officials who must manually check mismatches.

Prop 39 allows for more eligible votes to be counted. Democracy Docket reported: Over 52,000 were rejected by California over signature issues [in the 2026 primary election]. That’s even though the state has some of the most pro-voter rules in the nation. Signature requirements may seem like a simple anti-fraud measure, but every year, alleged discrepancies between voters’ signatures on their ballots and on their voter registration documents lead to thousands of legitimate votes being discarded. 🚨 FACT CHECK: Prop 39 does NOT make it harder to vote. Prop 39 doesn’t require voters to submit passports, birth certificates, marriage licenses or citizenship paperwork.
MAGA-backed Prop 39 isn’t JUST about showing your ID at the ballot box. It’s about your private information being on the outside of your mail-in ballots. It’s about adding barriers to your voting process. It’s about making it harder for YOU to vote.  Vote NO on Prop 39.

📑 Reuters reported: “How US states mistakenly added 30,000 non-citizens to voter rolls” Don Palmer, a senior legal fellow for election integrity, said. "Driver's license agencies often make mistakes, and they often are not taking this as seriously as election officials." He said states also need to do more to verify voter eligibility. Randall Marquis, a Canadian who lives in California, remembers the day when he got a card in the mail notifying him that he was registered to vote in the 2018 midterm elections during Trump's first term. "I just said, 'Well, this is stupid.' So, I put it aside. But after thinking about it, I decided, no, it's more than stupid. This is bad!" the 71-year-old green card holder told Reuters. He alerted news organizations, and state officials later disclosed that as many as 1,500 non-citizens had ‌been mistakenly registered to vote by the California Department of Motor Vehicles due to a processing error, according to media reports. State officials did not respond to Reuters queries seeking confirmation. 📰 Source: yahoo.com/news/politics/arti…

Trump’s Prop 39 would make it harder for Black voters to cast their ballot. Senator Akilah Weber Pierson makes it clear: this is the same old tactic, with a new label. Vote NO on Prop 39.

Q: Will citizenship checks create new burdens for voters? A: No. Modernizing voter-roll systems and cleaning old, inaccurate records can reduce waste from duplicate, outdated, or undeliverable election mail. Independent audits every two years add transparency, accountability, and confidence that election officials are following the law. It does not require voters to provide additional information when registering to vote. (4/5)

Q: Will this make voting harder and reject valid ballots? A: No. Over 100,000 mail ballots were rejected in 2024 due to signature mismatches. Relying only on signature verification for mail-in ballots is subjective and prone to human error by voters whose signatures have shifted over time and by election officials who are required to manually check mismatches.
