Everyone, repeat after me: Windermere should not be green.
It’s November, and Windermere is turning green with potentially toxic blue-green algae. Yes, we could talk about the role of climate change, but let’s be clear: the real issue is that it’s 2024, and Windermere—our country’s largest and most iconic lake—is being used as a sewage dumping ground. That sewage is the primary driver of the algal bloom we have been seeing over the last week.
This shouldn’t be happening. It’s time for the government to stand against the exploitation of a place with such profound cultural and natural heritage and to finally put an end to sewage pollution in Windermere once and for all.
This is the people’s lake—a national treasure that should be protected for the many, not the few. For today, for tomorrow, and forever. There is one man who can make this happen, and that’s @Keir_Starmer . Keir Starmer, Save Windermere from sewage.

Please retweet @RishiSunak how dare you appear on Twitter now re pets when myself and all the registered animal charities have been messaging you for 2 years re the pet crisis in the UK?
Why have you waited for people to be hurt to show an interest in pets?
Banning the XL Bully a token gesture when you should be working to stop the online sales of pets, doing more to check who owns a pet and that people research and are responsible before they can own a pet?
If you ban the XL Bully, those owners that are the problem now will turn to the next large breed.
Put a team of REAL experts together, consult with @RSPCA_official on what will really keep pets and people safe. Ban the pet selling sites and people selling pets as if they are inanimate objects.
Pets are falling into the wrong hands and will continue to if you ban the XL Bully.
The government, @RishiSunakm have nor acted in 2 years, since the crisis for pets started after lockdown and are very much at fault here.

When you're autistic at a job interview
ALT Applying for jobs is a hell designed specifically to torment autistic people. Here is a well-paying task which you know in your heart and soul if they just gave you a desk and left you alone and allowed you to do it you would sit there and be more focused and enthusiastic and excellent at it than anyone else in the building. However, before they allow you to perform the task, you must pass through 3-4 opaque social crucibles where you must wear uncomfortable clothes and make eye contact while everyone expects you to lie, but not too much (no one is ever clear exactly how much lying is expected, "over" honesty is however penalized). You are being judged almost entirely on how well you understand these very specific and unclear rules that no one has explained. None of this has anything to do with your ability to perform the desired task.
