Really cool to have seen, from idea to final product, how @Mebane_Rash @EducationNC taps into the ideas of education visionaries @educatingeorge @twinologist @FreebirdsShire in order to shine light all over NC. Caroline Parker and her team did great justice to that vision.
Once upon a time, at dinner in Feb. 2018 with @caesarciv @twinologist @FreebirdsShire, the idea of telling the story of Clay County and the strength of our rural places, the story of schools and churches as anchor institutions in our communities surfaced.
Special happy 4th to @Morristeach1. Education is the one universal solution to every problem we face, and Mariah has been the lighthouse for us all.
Today is my last day as the 2019 @BWFUND NC TOY! What an exciting, meaningful, and at times crazy year this has been. If I had the privilege of connecting with you this past year: thank you. I am infinitely richer in friendship after this past year, and I thank you for that gift.

At a #COVID19NC meeting on Monday:
Principal: Our cafeterias in the county will be providing meals to anyone who needs food on Tuesday and Wednesday, then delivering by bus after that.
Teacher: Do people need proof of need?
Principal: No-- this is for anyone who's hungry.
