Once again, the extremist thugs supported and enabled by the Israeli government have brutalized an American citizen. Enough is enough. Failing to speak out about this and demand accountability is a betrayal of the American people in favor of a foreign state. We call on Illinois lawmakers to condemn this vicious attack. We call on members of Congress to demand the U.S. government place sanctions on illegal Israeli settlers and the Israeli military. We call on Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs to divest Illinois’ public funds from Israel Bonds and halt all new purchases and renewals. Illinois taxpayers should not be bankrolling a government that enables attacks on American citizens. We also call on the U.S. government to launch an independent investigation into the attacks on Mohammed Sakat, Heidi Levine, and all other Americans targeted by Israeli settlers and troops.
Over a dozen masked settlers just attacked Turmus’ayya. Burned an American home and severely beat an American citizen, Chicagoan Mohammed Sakat. One town over from Abu Falah and was attacked on the same day. They’re really cracking down here.

.@cairchicago joined Hindu, Jewish, Indian, and civil rights leaders to condemn the alleged white supremacist terrorist plot targeting Hindu worshippers in Aurora and demand action against rising anti–South Asian hate. Executive Director Ahmed Rehab criticized the Trump administration’s hateful rhetoric and called on political leaders to confront white supremacy: “Enough is enough. We call on our political leaders to step up and show courage and clarity and be true patriots. Patriotism is not beating your chest to your color or religion, but understanding that all Americans are entitled to safety and prosperity under this one flag.

Three years ago today, six-year-old Wadea Al Fayoume was brutally murdered. We pray that God honors him with paradise and grants solace to his family and loved ones. Wadea was murdered by a man motivated by the same hatred that inspired the attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego earlier this year. It is the same hatred that has motivated the Israeli government to slaughter tens of thousands of Palestinians and Gaza. It is the same hatred that is spewed by the White House and numerous political leaders and media figures – and it is on the rise. Three years after the horrific murder of Wadea Al Fayoume, anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian hate are stronger than ever. Today, we are reminded of the real-world consequences of this hateful ideology. All elected officials and leaders across our nation must speak out in repudiation of this hatred.
We are shocked and disturbed to learn that a landlord in Chicago expressing anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian views broke into a Muslim family's apartment and attacked them with a knife, injuring the mother and killing her 6-year-old son, Wadea Al-Fayoume. @cairchicago will hold a press conference this afternoon to share more details, God willing. The Islamophobic rhetoric and anti-Palestinian racism being spread by politicians, media outlets, and social media platforms must stop. Now. #Palestine #Israel #Islamophobia #Wadea

It should be unacceptable to the White House and Congress for the Israeli government to continue kidnapping Americans and disappearing them into prisons known for torture, all without any criminal charges or other due process. The Trump administration has a legal and moral obligation to protect American citizens overseas, especially from rogue governments funded by American taxpayer dollars. We urge Congress to exercise its oversight authority and demand that the State Department secure Abdalkareem’s swift and safe release.
NEW: Israel snatched an American teen from his West Bank home in the middle of the night — days before his birthday & during national exams. He's been held for 3 months with no charge. Netanyahu just came to the US for the 8th time in Trump's second term.zeteo.com/p/israel-has-kidna…

By openly celebrating the exclusion of legal immigrants from Muslim-majority nations, the White House is admitting the bigoted motivation behind its immigration decisions despite years of denials under oath in courtroom litigation. During the first and current Trump administration, government lawyers have denied the discriminatory purpose of the Muslim and African travel bans. The administration cannot continue to credibly claim religious neutrality while presenting exclusion associated with Muslim nations as a measure of success. Behind these numbers are spouses separated from their partners, children separated from their parents, and refugees seeking safety. These are human beings pursuing lawful immigration pathways. Their faith and national origin should never make them targets of collective punishment. Congress must investigate the implementation and consequences of these restrictions, demand the underlying decision-making records, and advance the NO BAN Act. Courts reviewing the legality of the administration’s immigration policies should consider this official statement and reevaluate whether anti-Muslim animus has unconstitutionally motivated those policies.
Legal Immigration from Majority-Muslim Nations Was Cut 96% Since 2024

THE SENATE COULD VOTE AS SOON AS TONIGHT. CONTACT YOUR SENATORS NOW AND URGE THEM TO VOTE YES ON S.RES. 852 Muhammad Seif El-Deen was 12. He should have been going to school and imagining his future. Instead, he was shot and killed this week by Israeli forces in Rafah City. His family deserves answers. Palestinian children deserve lives free from violence. And the American public deserves to know what our government knows and what it has done in response. Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s S. Res. 852 would require the State Department to report on Israel’s actions against Americans and Palestinians. It is a step toward the transparency and oversight that families have been denied. Tell your senators to vote YES on S. Res. 852. It takes only a moment to send your message: 🔗 action.cair.com/a/report-the…
For years, the US has failed to get justice for Americans – those killed on the West Bank & detained by the Israeli govt – or accountability for Palestinians who are being brutalized with the govt's complicity.   This week I will force a vote on this resolution to get answers.

We strongly condemn Robert Kraft and other stadium owners who reportedly pressured Ed Sheeran to drop Macklemore from his U.S. tour over his support for the Palestinian people and opposition to the Gaza genocide. Privately owned sports stadiums should never threaten to ban musicians because they dare to oppose the murder of children, and publicly owned stadiums entities cannot engage in such censorship without violating the First Amendment. We call on Mr. Sheeran and the tour promoters to reverse course. They should pursue legal options or reschedule his tour rather than give in to bullying by billionaires who care about free speech as much as they care about slaughtered Palestinian children. We call on stadiums hosting Mr. Sheeran's tour that are owned by a governmental entity to publicly clarify whether they joined on this threat to cancel Mr. Sheeran's tour. Macklemore is being targeted for criticizing the genocidal mass murder of the Palestinian people and calling for the liberation of Palestine, stances applauded by prior audiences. Macklemore is taking a heroic stance and Mr. Sheeran should stand with him. The companies responsible for this attack on free speech for the benefit of a foreign government must be held accountable.
Macklemore is speaking out after being dropped from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour, seemingly placing blame on New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, saying that the billionaire rallied other stadium owners to ban him from performing at their venues: “Ed is my friend. I've known him for 13 years.... I told Ed multiple times on the phone, our friendship can't change my responsibility to tell the truth about what happened [in Gaza]... Ed told me that Robert Kraft called him. We were scheduled to play Gillette Stadium later this month, which is owned by the Kraft Group. Ed told me that Kraft said I would not be allowed to perform in his stadium. Ed also told me that Kraft had rallied some of the other stadium owners and collectively they gave him an ultimatum: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venues.... Ed was in a fucked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. He told me that the words 'Free Palestine' and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, 'I don't take sides'.... I hope this isn't the end of my relationship with Ed. Thirteen years of friendship doesn't disappear because of one painful disagreement. I hope we both continue listening, studying what is happening in Palestine and wrestling with what neutrality means in a moment like this. My door will always be open to continuing that conversation.... I didn't need 10 shows from Ed. I needed 2. Two chances to stand in front of 90,000 people and say the words that somehow became too dangerous to say. Free Palestine. But if those words cost me the stage, while turning the conversation back to Palestine, then it was the most successful tour I've ever been on.” variety.com/2026/music/news/…

It’s one thing to continue to support an organization that is designated a terrorist organization in two states. To do it alongside Ana Kasparian, a rabid antisemite, is certainly a choice.

Two months ago, Sama Safi, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, was kidnapped from her home by IDF soldiers in the middle of the night. She was held without charges in inhumane conditions which worsened her chronic medical conditions. Sama secured a temporary release for urgent medical care, but the Israeli government is looking to wrongfully re-detain her. I am calling on the Department of State to do everything in its power to ensure Sama's unconditional and permanent release.
