Teachers and parents were surveyed separately this fall, and on one issue, both groups landed on the same number: 78%. Teachers see what social media does to focus in the classroom. Parents want phones to have a ‘school mode’ that turns distractions off while keeping phones with the kids. Find out what else parents want at ParentsonAI.org.

Keeping kids safe online remains a CPPVE priority. Thank you @AGRobBonta for your work holding apps accountable. Parents shouldn’t have to keep up w/ which apps are being regulated for online safety. @YouTube and @tiktok_us need to step. #ITrustParents latinotimes.org/2026/10/our-…

This year’s election for State Superintendent of Public Instruction will be extremely important. Turnout will determine the state’s leading advocate for public education — teacher unions vs. parents. Make sure you know candidate positions before casting your vote. #ITrustParents

CA virtual students spend more time online, making digital safeguards essential. KOSA is a vital step-but works best when platforms can reliably identify minors. KOSA + ASAA create meaningful protections, keeping students safer online. #ProtectKids @SenateCommerce @commercedems

Simple question: Should parents have to approve app downloads for minors? The #AppStoreAccountability Act said YES. The House E&C said NO. California parents are paying attention. @RepRaulRuizMD @RepScottPeters @RepBarragan @JayObernolte @RepKevinMullin #NoKidsAct

Big Tech fought to keep parents on the sidelines. With the #AppStoreAccountability Act moving forward, families have a stronger voice in what apps reach children. Online safety starts at home + parents deserve the tools to make informed decisions.  @SenAlexPadilla @SenAdamSchiff
