“I remember thinking, ‘If I don’t do exactly what I’m told for the next minute of my life, I’m going to die right now.'" • A tactical vehicle slammed through Autumn Hill’s front entryway. • FBI agents threw flash-bang grenades through the windows. • She heard screams from other rooms. • Police flew a quadcopter drone through the splintered doorway. • A voice from the drone ordered residents to come out with their hands up. • Hill edged out of the door and faced a wall of gun barrels. • Masked agents screamed orders as the drone buzzed behind her. Incarcerated for Life in Trump’s War on the Left Autumn Hill had already gone home when a protest outside an ICE facility in Texas turned violent. She was still sentenced to 50 years in prison, over twice as long as any Jan. 6 defendant. Story: rollingstone.com/politics/po…

“DSA’s electoral successes have been expanding at a rapid rate. As a result, anything that appears to threaten this success naturally faces special scrutiny. Indeed, members of the Socialist Majority Caucus and Groundwork caucuses, the Jacobin editorial board, and a number of DSA electeds and aligned candidates, have argued that abolition should be deemphasized or abandoned because it is electorally unpopular or idealistic. Often, this takes the form of stressing the urgency of passing a candidate’s affordability agenda at all costs. This risks pushing DSA towards the pitfalls of tailism and economism, subverting our political program to what is immediately achievable rather than using our political organization to expand what workers see as possible.”

I really do think the American left is heading towards some of the darkest days of repression in a long time. We can poke fun at DSA’s lib-left limits but for the American right it appears as a deep existential threat.

Socialists should not run for executive office, best case scenario is legitimizing systems of oppression and co-opting radicals into state functionaries. We should be building power at the roots & establishing a dual power system that doesn't rely on or excuse exploitation
Replying to @NewSweezyite
DSA presidency is a dumb idea. The congressional runs should be supplemented with seeking state- and city-level pluralities where possible, not with trying to sabotage the left with a lame duck presidency. If electoralism wants to accomplish anything, it needs to be robustly done

The cross is part of the mission. The imperialist occupation of the world is disrupted from within; the violence that until now has been the law is unmasked. The poor, imprisoned, and rejected Messiah descends into the darkness of death, yet in so doing He brings a new creation to light. #HolyThursday

Doctors are manually operating ventilators in order to keep babies alive in Cuba. The U.S. is laying siege cruelly cut off all fuel, power is out, leaving hospitals without electricity. Dialysis patients, babies in NICU, and others will die. This’s a crime against humanity.

Israel killing 41 people, including children, is not a “special forces raid.” The word you’re looking for is massacre.

Michael Manley’s love for Jamaica, and his friendship with Castro, is why the CIA destabilized Jamaica. They did it by sending in an “economic hitman” (there’s a documentary about it on YouTube) and by arming inner-city youths with guns, which helped spark a bloody political election. Before that, there were no guns in Jamaica, and the Jamaican dollar was equal in value to the U.S. dollar. That eventually cascaded into a CIA-backed drug trade involving Jamaican gangsters who were given visas to New York. This later fueled the “Posse Wars” between Black American drug lords and rival Jamaican factions (Shower Posse and Spranglers Posse). There’s also an episode on the show American Gangsters on this. Shower Posse alone were responsible for 1500 murders in NY and Miami in the 80s during the height of the drug trade. Some of those same factions were also involved in the attempted assassination of Bob Marley, shooting him several times (Jim Brown is the culprit. Long story on him, who the government ended up double-crossing and killing). Bob Marley was pushing unity and peace in the midst of the CIA orchestrated political violence. Right as he planned a peace concert between the two warring political factions, he was shot the day before the concert. A plot to silence a respected voice who the people would listen to. The violence and destabilization of so many Third World countries isn’t accidental. It’s often a system engineered to create dependence on the United States, steal their resources and keep people focused inward, fighting each other, which ultimately weakens both the population and the country itself.

21st Century Operation Condor
White House releases attendee list for its Latin American leaders summit in Doral this weekend:

🇨🇺🇯🇲Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba Cuba regrets the decision of the government of Jamaica to cease medical cooperation, yielding to pressure from the U.S. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba reports that, on March 4, the Foreign Ministry of Jamaica communicated to our Embassy in that country the unilateral decision of its government to terminate the health cooperation agreement that has linked both nations for decades. With this action, the government of Jamaica yields to the pressures of the government of the United States, which is not concerned about the health needs of the Caribbean brothers. Cuba deeply regrets that in this way a history of fruitful and sustained collaboration is disregarded, one that has brought countless benefits to the Jamaican people, who are now deprived of receiving the basic and specialized health services that Cuban collaborators provided. In response to the step taken by the government of Jamaica, the government of Cuba has made the sovereign decision to proceed with the return of the Cuban Medical Brigade. These health professionals leave behind an indelible mark and return to Cuba with the satisfaction of a duty fulfilled and the permanent willingness to assist wherever their spirit of solidarity is required. Cuba’s work in Jamaica is an eloquent example of genuine cooperation. In the last 30 years alone, more than 4,700 Cuban collaborators have provided medical assistance on the Caribbean island. Currently, the Brigade was composed of 277 professionals whose work has had a tangible and profound impact on strengthening the Jamaican health system. The historic results of this collaboration speak for themselves: · More than 8,176,000 patients treated. · 74,302 surgical procedures performed. · 7,170 births attended. · More than 90,000 lives saved. Likewise, through the Operation Miracle program, present in Jamaica since 2010, the sight of nearly 25,000 Jamaicans has been restored or improved. Cuban cooperation has also been decisive in projects for the control and prevention of diseases such as malaria and in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent example of this dedication was seen after the passage of Hurricane Melissa, which severely affected the island. In those difficult circumstances, the Cuban Medical Brigade remained firmly at their posts, many of its members working for more than 72 consecutive hours and actively joining the tasks of recovering hospitals and communities. Faithful to the historic relations of brotherhood and solidarity that unite us with Jamaica, Cuba reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the Jamaican people, who will always be able to count on the selfless cooperation of Cuba. Havana, March 6, 2026.
