Life should follow a rhythm of energy conservation and strategic bursts. Most days are spent on internal work, reflecting, reading, resting, and diving into yourself. These days may feel slow and empty, but they build depth, intuition, and the ability to spot opportunities before others.
This philosophy stands in contrast to the culture of constant busyness.
One percent of your time is the moment when external circumstances and internal readiness align and you act with maximum intensity. It is almost like a natural law. Most energy goes into preparation and a small portion into execution.

🚨 Message to the West. 🚨
Shaun Maguire from Sequoia says we have 5 years to destroy communism. And he is right.
The tutorial :
And most people still don't understand what that means. They think communism died with the Berlin Wall. It didn't. It just changed clothes.
It stopped wearing military uniforms and started wearing lanyards. It left the Kremlin and moved into faculty lounges, newsrooms, courtrooms, ministries, film festivals, HR departments and NGOs. It went into the institutions like a virus: quietly, cell by cell, until the host started defending it as if it were its own body.
Look around. Schools, justice, media, culture, sport. Almost every institution that shapes how a citizen thinks now runs on the same ideology.
And that ideology cannot work. Ever.
Not because its people are evil. Because it's built on a lie about human nature. It believes wealth already exists and only needs to be redistributed. It believes intentions matter more than results. It believes a committee knows better than millions of free people making their own choices. Every time it was tried at scale, the outcome was the same. Shortages. Lines. Exodus. Walls built to keep people in, not out.
So it learned to never run anything directly. It lives in places where it never has to face the consequences. Supranational bodies that answer to no voter. Global summits where unelected people decide how you should live, eat, travel and think. The Socialist International. An endless galaxy of NGOs funded by your taxes to lobby against you.
And yes, a lot of billionaires are on that side. Why? Incentives. Once you're rich enough, the most valuable asset left is moral status. Fund the right causes, sit on the right panels, say the right words, and you get a lifetime pass. Nobody ever asks if your ideas actually worked.
Bill Gates is the perfect example. Built one great company 40 years ago, then spent the rest of his life telling the planet how to farm, how to eat, how to heal, how to fix the climate. Billions spent, decades of lectures, and the man keeps getting it wrong while being applauded for it. In the only game that counts now, building the future, he's a loser. A rich one. But a loser.
Here's the good news. Their system runs on inertia and public money. Both are running out.
So here's what rational people with common sense are going to have to do.
First. Retake the institutions. All of them. Justice, culture, education, sport, media. The same way they were taken: patiently, one trench at a time. Run for the school board. Apply to the magistrature. Join the federation. Buy the media outlet. Sit on the committee nobody wants to sit on. That's where power lives.
Second. Rebuild real journalism. Media that report what happened, not what should have happened. Reporters who know what a payroll is. Outlets funded by readers, not by the State they're supposed to watch. X already broke the monopoly. Now we need the newsrooms to follow.
Third. Retell history. History is written by the winners, and in our schools, universities and cultural institutions, the winners were the left. They told the story they wanted. Whole chapters erased, whole regimes softened, whole generations taught that the free market was the villain. We need documentaries, books, films, podcasts. Tell the real story of communism. Tell the story of how nations actually got rich. Tell the story of the people who built everything we now take for granted.
You don't need to be a billionaire to take part. You need to show up. Write. Film. Teach. Build a company. Hire people. Explain to one kid how wealth is created. Every trench counts.
Gramsci's heirs took 60 years to win the West.
We have 5.
Let's go.

Former MIT scientist David Sabatini just won $6 million in a landmark case against false allegations of r*pe and sexual assault, which destroyed his career.
Once on track to win the Nobel Prize, Sabatini’s ex-girlfriend accused him of r*pe in 2020 and began calling him the ‘Weinstein of science.’ He was later accused of perpetuating a “bro culture” in his lab. As a result, he was stripped of all his funding, lost his job, and went bankrupt.
We interviewed Sabatini (@DMSabatini) about the verdict, which he says made him “proud to be an American.”

The omnicause brainworms are there to distract you from a city that actually works for the people.
Mayor Lurie and DA Jenkins handed it right: we are not here for the omnicause! We are here for a functioning state that works!
Within 30 seconds, however, a man in the back of the room began yelling about billionaires, Gaza, and blood money, demanding that his questions be answered.
“Sir, we’re not here for you,” Lurie responded.

That stake could be worth over $100 billion today.
He could’ve become one of the richest people
Instead, the FTX collapse destroyed his empire, exposed an $8 billion customer-fund shortfall, and landed him a 25-year prison sentence.
The craziest part? He was already sitting on a fortune.

Dario Amodei, the CEO of Anthropic, says AI should one day be priced by the value it creates: a few cents for telling someone to restart their Mac, maybe tens of millions for telling a drug company to move an aromatic ring to the other end of a molecule.
I understand the wish. I don't think the market will grant it.
I started in telecom in the 90s. Nobody ever paid us what a phone call was worth to them. The call that closed a deal and the call to say happy birthday cost the same, and the price was set by the next carrier willing to carry it for less.
AI is heading the same way. On Saturday Torsten Slok, the chief economist at Apollo, wrote that outside the big tech companies, corporate America is starting to treat token spending as a cost center that weighs on margins. Apollo also notes that demand is so price sensitive that it switches to cheap open-source models when prices go up even modestly.
The tens of millions from the better molecule go to whoever owns the molecule. If AI labs want to be paid for value, they will have to own the outcome: discover the drug, run the trial, hold the patent. That is why Isomorphic Labs, the drug discovery company Alphabet spun out of DeepMind, matters more than any pricing page.
Selling intelligence is becoming a commodity business. Owning what intelligence discovers is not.

All employees come in 5 levels, choose wisely:
Level 1 - tells you there's a problem
Level 2 - tells you there's a problem and what caused it
Level 3 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, and options to fix it
Level 4 - tells you there's a problem, what caused it, options to fix it, and which one they'd pick
Level 5 - tells you there was a problem, what caused it, how they fixed it, and future proof’d it

Even the police.
There has never been an excuse to drink and drive. With @Tesla expanding their Cybercab/Robotaxi services area across #Houston, there are more ways than ever to get home safely after a night out.
Plan ahead, make the smart choice, and never get behind the wheel impaired. #DontDrinkAndDrive

Impressive, another successful case of transitioning from a humanities background to the core of large language model technologies. The academic path includes a bachelor's degree from Shanghai International Studies University with a major in Korean, followed by a master's and a PhD in NLP at Oxford.

🚨 AMERICA'S BIGGEST ALLIES ARE STARTING TO REJECT U.S. DEBT.
U.S.-friendly nations have slashed their net purchases of long-term Treasuries by over 60%, falling to just $174.3 billion in the first eight months of 2026, the lowest for that period since 2021.
And the numbers from Asia are even more concerning.
• 🇯🇵 Japan, the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasuries, has cut its net purchases by a massive 99%.
• 🇰🇷 South Korea dumped $23.8 billion, its biggest January–August sell-off since 1977.
• 🇹🇼 Taiwan has also become a net seller.
• 🇨🇳 China continues reducing its Treasury exposure.
Meanwhile, U.S. national debt has reached a record $40.53 trillion, and the 10-year Treasury yield has crossed 5%.
America needs more money than ever to finance its massive debt, but even its closest allies are buying far less or selling.
If this continues, Washington could be forced to pay much higher interest rates to attract buyers, making its debt even more expensive.
With $40.53 trillion already owed, the loss of demand from traditional foreign buyers could become a serious problem for the U.S. economy and global markets.

Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own.
In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development.
In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences.
