'LOST STATE:' A Somali daycare owner whose business has faced scrutiny over millions in state and federal funding defeated a Republican incumbent to win a Minnesota House seat.
Abdi Daisane's Blooming Kids Child Care Center has been cited for over a dozen violations, and as sponsored for state funding by a nonprofit that the state claims "knowingly defrauded" Minnesota to the tune of $18 million.

Look, Republicans got blown out because of the administration’s miserable handling of every issue, including tariffs. They had a mandate; they had a coalition. What they wanted to do was not just popular, but necessary.
But they couldn’t follow through.
Immigration enforcement is popular, a bunch of cruel performative policies that got people killed are not.
The war in Iran might have been popular, but no one in the administration could decide if they wanted to actually fight it. They renamed the Department of War and then immediately shifted its purpose to dumb meetings about testosterone.
Americans will tolerate higher prices for a while but they expected sympathy, not officials denying rising costs and telling people to eat tortillas and chicken.
Demographic shifts are happening, but most Americans aren’t afraid of their neighbors. The vast majority of Americans think open racism is gross and wrong.
When you get a mandate, you have to maintain your coalition. Instead, they went full reality show. They blew it.

Last night, at 11 PM, I received a call from a friend of Haley Stevens: would I want to come over to speak at her fiancé's home?
In pink fuzzy slippers, she seemed at ease: "I'm at peace with this," she told me. "I’m not wrestling with this."
She said she realized on Saturday night she could no longer back Abdul El-Sayed, who she said holds certain "anti-American" views and is "obsessive, obsessive, obsessive" about Israel.
“I wasn’t being honest with myself after a certain point,” she said.
The final breaking point was a recent ad that blamed rising costs on the American funding of “killing Palestinians.” A contributing factor was El-Sayed's inability to condemn Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
"God, I wanted to vote for him, but he just kind of said ‘Forget it."
She said she is considering attending a Monday "Democrats for Mike Rogers" rally—but to not get it twisted: "I’m not going to be best friends with Mike Rogers either."

I am generally skeptical about James O'Keefe.
But everything he reports in this video is true. Back in May 2025, I sat in a room with two of Ilhan's people and they described exactly this operation. It is robust and well-staffed. This is SOP in Minnesota.

This is the same machine still fighting every single effort to require citizenship proof and clean the rolls. The same people who call election security “disenfranchisement.”
They never stopped. They just got quieter about the receipts.
Pass the SAVE Act.
Clean the rolls.
