I have a take.
If you’re expanding to 24 teams next year, all 10 conferences need an automatic bid. It works for March Madness and we don’t complain (16 seeds are 2-162).
14 at large spots is PLENTY. Give everyone a seat at the table. We don’t need 10 SEC teams in the playoff

If University School is the team that ends up getting screwed over this is a total joke.
Beat Stanford by 54.
Beat Virginia by 44.
Beat Cal by 34 on the road.
Beat NC State by 24 on the road.
Beat Louisville (on the road) by the same margin that Ole Miss did.
But, they lost one singular game to the best team in College Football so they get shoved down to #16 and treated like crap, while 2-loss SEC teams get gifted spots in the Top 5.
Unbelievable.

Bizarre how many CBB media members outside of The Field of 68 have not even mentioned the Opening Day Marathon on here.
This is an event that should be supported by the entire sport.

Here’s a 5 minute rant on last night’s loss and how Ohio State needs to move forward
Let me be clear: there is NOTHING I saw from Luke Fahey that tells me this team cannot win with him
Everything feels gloom this morning, but I truly feel we are Jay Timmons returning and the Coaching Staff taking a long look in the mirror away from all the goals being back on the table.
Both of those things have to happen or this season is over. But right now, it is not.
- Beat Michigan
- Win the Big Ten
- Win the National Championship
All 3 of our goals are still right in front of us and we control our destiny for each. And we have the pieces to do it.
The margin for error is now razor thin, but no one can keep us out right now except ourselves.
Let me let you all in on a little coaching secret:
When you have the talent advantage, playing conservatively helps the lesser team. Letting loose exposes the gap.
It’s put up or shut up time in Columbus.

From @TheAthletic: Is posting a faster marathon time on Strava rather than your official race result considered cheating?
An online watchdog group is exposing runners over discrepancies in their times, but some athletes say they've faced harassment. nyti.ms/4A1pxNQ

ALT “I think there is a major difference between cheating and posting the Strava time... I had achieved a huge personal feat after training hard all year. I won’t let the internet take it away from me.” - Charlie Winslade, a marathon runner, who said that his official chip time was over three hours, but his watch time had brought him in just under 2:58:28.

From @TheAthletic: Long-distance running doesn’t necessarily have to be a lonely experience. In fact, it can lead to love.
Before this weekend’s New York City Marathon, we spoke to five couples who all found more than a running partner. nyti.ms/4Bx2PyD
